From the Observer Site:
NXT UK canceled its next two sets of television tapings and this has led to "a lot of uneasiness" felt amongst the crew.
BT Sports Studios is said to have been unavailable for the tapings due to football/soccer coverage. Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that talent on the brand are concerned that the shows weren't moved to a different venue.
“There is a lot of uneasiness within the NXT U.K. crew. The next two sets of television tapings were canceled on 8/9," Meltzer wrote. "The reason given was that BT Sports Studios, where they tape, had to be used for football/soccer coverage. But as you can imagine with the talent how the reaction is, given you could tape somewhere else and shutting down tapings is never a good sign. Nobody really has been told anything”
Several NXT UK wrestlers are scheduled to travel to Florida to take part in NXT programming in the near future. Joe & Mark Coffey as well as Charlie Dempsey (son of William Regal) are expected to make the trip.

Sucks for the talents, but goodness knows there’s a lot of people who want to see NXT UK wrapped up.

Makes sense. We've seen more and more NXT UK talent transferring over to the main NXT roster over the last several months. I'm open to the idea of killing off NXT UK. This will help fill up the talent pool that was initially purged last year from NXT, gives existing NXT stars the chance to jump to the main roster, and possibly revitalizes the UK indie scene for whoever ends up getting cut.

The existence of NXT UK in the first place was always just very weird to me. Despite a few notable names coming out of it, it never really worked as either a feeder group for the main roster or developmental brand. It was just this random standing roster the WWE had for the UK for... nebulous reasons. The fact that it was just loaded with guys who the WWE would never have even looked at otherwise only made its existence even more awkward. I say take whoever's left there that they think has real potential, transfer them to the main NXT roster, and cut the rest loose. BritWres is supposedly hot right now, hopefully they'll be able to get by.

Now from what I've seen they have had some good stuff on NXT UK but even on Triple H's side at the peak of everything he seemed disappointed with the brand

Triple H made the mistake of mentioning it and now Nick Khan knows it's there and he must destroy it.

Hopefully they bring Meiko Satomura to Florida tapings as well.

If it HAS to be killed off, nows the time. The UK Championship is vacant, the Tags are on a couple of Americans, and itd be awesome to have Meiko be the one to finally dethrone Mandy playing up her "final boss" moniker. The Heritage trophy held by Noam Dar could be either hit or miss in 2.0

Anyone who saw that abomination that was World Of Sport will know that they panicked over nothing

Imagine not being able to do your job because Chris Sutton, Robbie Savage & Michael Owen need a studio to work in. That would knock my morale for sure.

I'm looking at the NXT UK roster listed on Wikipedia. Now I have not actually watched NXT UK in a long time, so I apologize if anybody has really stepped up over the last two-to-three years and I'm just not familiar with it, but here's who I'd keep and send to NXT or even the main roster if the brand is actually disbanded -
Dragunov of course (God knows what kind of name and character Vince would've given him). Bate and Seven as a tag team (Bate has some potential in singles, but I really think both work better as a tag team). I'd also keep Dar and Mandrews too. While their ceiling is limited, I think both have shown they're good hands for the mid-card.
On the female side, I'd love to see Jinny do her act on the main roster, and of course Meiko would be perfect as a player-coach for the ladies on regular NXT. But otherwise, yikes, there's not much to work with.
How has Xia Brookside looked lately? I remember her being serviceable but really young and green. Has she shown much improvement since the early NXT UK days? Be a shame to lose a second generation talent.

haven't watch UK in a couple months, but man that show was arguably the best hour of wrestling. simple, but good stories. good to fantastic matches every week. best women's division in WWE for the last year imo. Seeing talent grow was cool to ie Sam Gradwell. Dude could be on the main roster right now with his mic skills and in ring.
I hope Seven & Bate get a run on the MR despite breaking up a couple months back lol
UK women's division is also really good. so it could help alot of companies if everyone isn't signed.

Aoife Valkyrie's been out of action for what seems like forever with hardly any updates, though after looking through Twitter mentions from back in July, she appears to be training for an in-ring return finally.

Man id love Meiko to get a run on NXT or the main roster,it would be insane that WWE would then have four of the greatest Joshi workers going in Io Shirai, Sarray (if used better), Asuka and Meiko.

I’m a big fan of Valkyrie she’s someone I’d at least like to see on NXT in the states. Millie/Emilia McKenzie is another who has a lot of talent in-ring (still only 22 as well). She hasn’t had chance to show too much personality yet though I do think she benefits from having someone to bounce off like her team with Charli Evans or the annoying little sister type pairing she had with Pete Dunne on the indies.
