Using Nakamura as an example is weird weird considering Levesque had him as NXT champion - twice - and the guy who booked him in the midcard is headed to Gitmo. People need to update their tropes now. WWE is run by a Wrestling Guy, his wife, and an Actual Marketing Guy who actually understands pop culture. If 2015 Nakamura was in 2022 he'd probably be one of the top stars they have. If Nakamura's booking improves over the coming weeks/month I'll give The Wrestling Guy all the credit he's due for it. Till then, eh.

I see no reason why he cannot have an occasional 20-40 minute match in the NEW WWE, whether as a part-timer or full-timer. The benefits of this would be huge in CONJUNCTION and harmony with their subtle creative storylines, especially with reeling in more casuals & introducing them to the wider world of this fine art. Also, the rosters were thin in WWE after the firings with more hours of airtime, so there's more slots for people Like to see Stu Grayson & Bandido as well, someone else I'd think would be nice. If Konosuke is not in WWE, then I concur with the above about him in AEW or Japan. cultaholic.com/posts/exclusive-konosuke-takeshita-not-interested-in-wwe-run-possible-aew-return-date-revealedSo that answers that, hopefully. I have zero faith that WWE would have handled Takeshita well even with Daddy H, The Asskicker at the helm given how badly he botched Kushida's run. Yeah the lack of presence on the mic instantly kills any interest I have in him in WWE. WWE is still even with HHH involved very character heavy and though his matches were fun I do not see anything that would be something WWE would latch onto. AEW is perfect for him to build his fanbase in the ring.

I wouldn’t be expecting world titles in Nakamura’s future, but I think it’s a pretty safe bet that Triple H would’ve strapped him up if he was booking his feud with Styles.

Ehh, I think Takeshita showed flashes of charisma that could be molded into a marketable character in WWE. If he becomes an even passable English speaker, particularly with his look, I think he could thrive in WWE. While WWE has a pretty rotten history with its treatment of Asian wrestlers, Nakamura and Asuka have both had pretty solid long-term runs, all things considered, and Konosuke is substantially bigger and more in line with the WWE "look" than guys of the ilk of KUSHIDA, Jiro, KENTA/Itami, etc...
That said, from a selfish standpoint just because I tend to watch more AEW programming, I hope that he continues his affiliation with AEW rather than signing a WWE deal. But, if he chooses to sign with WWE, I'll be happy to see what he can do in that environment.
