Apparently after this show is a hard reset, so they're coasting along till then. AEW doesn't need a hard reset. They could certainly use a straightening out of the TV product and some solid directions for major players. A lot of stories are reaching natural endpoints, and others are in a groundwork mode, so even without all of the meta-chaos and injuries lately, it's a good time to put a lot of old business to rest and get a lot of new business moving.

I'm glad they haven't littered Dynamite and Rampage with Casino Ladder match qualifying matches. I wonder if it would be an idea to do a Battle Royal on the Buy In or Rampage next week, with the last 6 standing going on to compete in the ladder match? You could still have a surprise Joker.

Hard reset isn't the right word but for various reasons (mainly injuries) where it has felt like AEW has coasted quite a bit. I do think after All Out you'll see much more focus

The winner of The Ladder Match should get the choice of going for either The TNT or AAC Title

I was considering getting tickets to watch this in theaters, but there hasn't been much buildup to this show that I might skip it entirely. I also had this problem with the buildup to Double or Nothing as some of the matches were announced on the go-home Dynamite and the go-home Rampage. Not to mention that a few of the matches didn't need to be on the card at all, or at most, could have been on the Buy-in. Forbidden Door, on the other hand, was hands down the best show I had seen all year. Don't worry guys through my exclusive sources giving me leaked promotional materials I can now confidently say this is the main event of All Out {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} And you can't teach that.

I was thinking about it and they're dropping the ball big time on not making Jericho vs. Danielson a "Custody of Daniel Garcia" Ladder Match.

Re: hard reset, I'm surprised that Grand Slam is so close to All Out with as much as that was treated as a big event last year (and should continue to be so, IMO). You've only got the Buffalo and Albany shows to set things up, though honestly, that might work in their favor since I feel like AEW's done better with shorter builds lately. I also imagine the Toronto show will be treated like a big deal; if they're wanting to do some new story lines building to Full Gear in November, you could conceivably space it out to have Grand Slam, Toronto, and Full Gear as a three match series for a given feud, that way the feud actually blows off after Full Gear.
That being said, I don't *think* there's anything going on right now that seems like it should drag past All Out, aside from everything pertaining to Kenny's return since he just got back.
Also random, but I'm kind of ready for a new name for Full Gear. It was always kind of the most random and in-jokey of the AEW PPV names, and the company is still young enough they shouldn't already be beholden to 'tradition'.

The world title situation being so weird really highlights how far the tag titles have dropped in importantance. There's been many ppvs that match they've been of similar high importantance to the point you could main event with them.
Lately though the tag champions have been an afterthought, any build has all been focused on the challengers against a different team.
The women's and tnt title have had their issues too but they're well documented elsewhere.

Feels like most of their segments are on Rampage, too.

I was thinking of ordering it a few weeks ago but I'm going to have to pass this time. It's weird not having a main event in mind for one of your biggest shows of the year.

Last time they faced was at Capital Collision and Ishii put him down.
Eddie looks to even the score.

Even with this match now being on the pre-show, Ishii is such a major upgrade from Sammy.

Well shit, that's a great free match. It may not be a main card match, but Eddie will probably enjoy that more than the Sammy match.

Also, I love that guys like Ishii and Suzuki will just randomly show up in AEW whenever they're free. Keep the likes of Okada and Tanahashi for big shows, but let Ishii and Suzuki just smack people around whenever they want to.
