Eddie probably was in the wrong, but Sammy making this big public deal out of it....I dunno, if I was Eddie, I'd probably walk out. My pride wouldnt let me sit there in a room with Sammy again.
I know AEW is his big break and he likely loves performing, but I just couldnt be dealing with all that.
And, again, this highlights how little control, influence or - at this point - interest Tony has in putting out some guidelines and maybe even some actual rules about what his people do on socials.

Ain't no way Eddie is walking out, this was a dumb incident but before AEW he was literally selling his gear to make a living, this is his dream job, and quitting the second one co-worker irritated you wouldn't look good either imo. If Guevara wants to do this the second they have a meeting about tightening the ship, then that's on him if he wants to stick his head in a bear trap. I wouldn't be shocked if he gets punished for this, and Eddie's already done his time and moved on. Guevara basically took himself out by being an idiot, I'd think Kingston considers that karma if he was pissed off before..

Something more will come of this. And I dont really blame either of them - though they are both in the wrong - I blame Tony and his lack of control.

If nobody's wanting to work with Sammy anyway and Eddie was only actually suspended for two weeks that seems like a pretty, "I get it but that was bad but I get it," kind of punishment anyway. I doubt Eddie's going to find himself on the outs with the broader locker room under those circumstances.

All he had to do was shut the f*** up, he's a grown man out there looking like the biggest clown possible right now on socials. It's kind of why I'm glad there aren't restrictions on socials, if people wanna go full "Honl Honk Clown Town" on there, let them and let them get punished for it. These aren't some 15 year old kids, Sammy should absolutely know better. This should have ended when Kingston said "It was my bad, let's move on", and since then it's been all Guevara trying to high road martyr and faceplanting on the concrete sidewalk. None of this is due to a lack of control by Tony Khan, this is due to a lack of self awareness from a 30 year old Sammy Guevara, and if he gets punished for it, that's also his own fault imo, because no one told him to do any of this, he brought it on himself.

I agree to a point, personal responsibility is important. But this keeps happening, and eventually, it's going to boil down to professionalism and how that makes your company look. And that is on Tony. Guy needs to get his nose out the bag and start flexing some control, or hire someone to be the bad guy for him if he cant take that personal responsibility that comes with running a company.

He literally just had a meeting about tightening the ship on Wednesday and changing talent relations, and reports have highlighted punishments have been swifter for people acting a fool and there were some suspensions, more than Eddie, over the last few weeks due to conduct. I assume that the same will happen to Sammy for his conduct and especially releasing that statement to the dirtsheets/liking tweets of the nature he is, with what I assume was without any permission from the company because it reads so absolutely terribly. I'm not disputing that this needs to be nipped in the bud but it sounds like they are taking the necessary steps and if wrestlers want to test those new steps then that's on them.

Yeah, sure, that's a good first step - though I think eventually he will need more than just 'come on guys, we're the under dog, we must be loyal friends together.' He needs proper guidelines, proper rules, proper codified punishments. Just like any other job has a HR department doing that. Just like his Football players, both US and UK, likely have. The sooner he realises that, the better for everyone as the way he is currently running things is becoming a liability, and one we are all witnessing.

2020 - I'd totally rape that Sasha Banks. 2021 - That Impact storyline doesn't work for me, brother. 2022 - Whatever this is. Predict Sammy's 2023 controversy below. Caught smuggling a live badger in his pants. I mean considering his extremely skimpy trunks, it'd be easy for him to get caught that. But in all seriousness Sammy is repeatedly showing himself to be a liability to AEW. He's shown he can't control his mouth with the Sasha Banks incident, which admittedly was something from years earlier which got replayed, but whatever benefit of a doubt could be gleaned from that fact has been greatly diminished. He's shown himself as being difficult to work with and many people no longer wanting to work with him due to his proclivities to no sell shit (both moves AND storylines) and has also proven himself unwilling to work with people he deemed beneath him, and has now demonstrated that he is very willing to keep fanning the flames of backstage heat to make himself come off better. Tony Khan strikes me as being patient with talent, but when you're involved in some new bullshit every year it becomes hard to believe it's always the other guy's fault.

If Sammy Guevara has a million twitter likes, then I'm one of them. If Sammy Guevara has one twitter like, then I'm that ONE. If Sammy Guevara has no twitter likes, that means I probably got banned from twitter for using a complex sockuppet account network to pit different factions of kpop fandom against one another, sorry Sammy I thought I wasn't gonna get caught and I'd always have your back.

Has anyone's star fallen faster than Sammy Guevara? Dude was so over, had a great push, was putting on bangers every other week, and had so many people rooting for him this time last year. Now he's pretty much persona non grata to everyone, peers and fans alike.

The fact that these kinds of promos are now commonplace for heels is one of the main things I absolutely despise about wrestling in 2022. You can honestly thank the NWO for it. Heels can be cool but, they’re the supporting actors in the babyface’s story. Even those like Flair and Bockwinkel were there to build babyface challengers up to their level.

This is why Eddie's one of the best going today, he can make everything sound real and make you buy in without doing anything extra. If he went extra in the Sammy feud and it got scrapped, you can definitely tell he was upset at Sammy for his initial promo, because normally Eddie just needs to be Eddie, and the fans respond
