🔴 Raw Thread 8/29/22: Kidnapper Creeps & CNTRL Freaks

I hate that Raw is so good. When it sucked, I had time to work on my records & not pay attention to what's going on the screen. But now, it's so good that I am not doing what I am supposed to, so it will be another day that I won't be finishing my Facts & Stats for the last 3 weeks, but I will have it done tomorrow for NXT.
Here are my Raw Thoughts:
AJ Styles & Dolph Ziggler VS The Judgment Day was a great match. But it's not "Another dominate win" for The Judgment Day. This was their 1st ever 2-on-2 Tag Team Match win. BTW, I love that Raw started with a match & not a promo.
Good promo by The Judgment Day. Excellent promo by Edge. Nice surprise attack by The Mysterios. Fun brawl. And interesting stuff with Dominik & Rhea Ripley, which I didn't like at first, but now I am.
I still don't get how Dexter Lumis kidnapped The Miz in Toronto but was arrested in Orlando. How did they allow him to cross the border & get back to the States? But, I do like The Miz not wanting to talk about it.

Asuka, Alexa Bliss, & Bianca Belair VS 3 women that will never been seen again was stupid. At least use NXT wrestlers that have wrestled on TV before. This isn't the 80s. We don't need Enhancement Matches anymore.

Interesting segment with Ciampa, Miz, & Adam Pearce.
It's good to see Kurt Angle again, but why is he in his wrestling gear? I hope he can still go against Chad Gable That would be awesome. What a fun segment with Kurt Angle & Chad Gable. The Shoosh-Off was better than the Woo-Off between Lethal & Flair. It was ruined by
The Street Profits' promo, but I don't mind them VS The Alpha Academy as their 8 matches have been excellent.
Awesome, Edge & Rey Mysterio teaming up for the 1st time since they defeated Alberto Del Rio & Kane on Smackdown on December 30, 2010 against The Judgment Day. That will be a great match.
Make it 9 amazing matches between The Street Profits & The Alpha Academy. That was a tremendous match. Love Kurt having a Milk Bash with The Street Profits.
I love that Riddle & Seth Rollins fought in the parking lot before Raw. Cool way to make this even more heated. Their face to face promo was good. It got me ready for their match on Saturday. I love what happened during the commercial to take their feud to the next level. And it looks like Riddle got his first name back, but that doesn't bother me as I always call wrestlers by their last name.
Bobby Lashley VS The Miz could have been better if it wasn't basically a storyline for Miz's behavior after being kidnapped by Dexter Lumis. He was able to concentrate on Celebrity Family Feud last night. How did Lumis get out of jail in Florida?
Love the callbacks with Edge & Kurt Angle & what Edge did with the signs, but then it turned serious with The Mysterios.
Good to see Dana Warrior with Titus O'Neil & those amazing kids.
Excellent segment with The Usos, Sami Zayn, & Kevin Owens. I can’t wait for The Usos to turn on Zayn & we get Owens & Zayn VS Usos for the Tag Titles. Love KO bringing up 18 months ago.
Though they wrestled each other 3 times in the past in 2020 & 2021, Kevin Owens VS Jey Uso was a fun match. I miss Jey in Singles action. I love the trepidation in Sami Zayn costing Jey the match.

I already read the spoilers for Smackdown, & it sounds like a good show.
Love the Johnny Gargano & Theory segment. It was different that it wasn't an in-ring promo or in the locker room. I can't wait to see Gargano in action.

Riddle got his first name back. I guess I will be typing 4 extra letters again, but at least I don't have to move him in my records.
Wow. That 2 minute video on Aliyah & Raquel Rodriguez VS Dakota Kai & IYO SKY made the Women's Tag Team Titles more important that it has ever been since they brought them back.
When Raquel Rodriguez, Dakota Kai, & IYO SKY were in the ring, the match was great. But Aliyah couldn't even do a roll up correctly. What a horrible way to crown the new Women's Tag Champions. They should have stayed on the shelf when Sasha & Naomi left.
Ends a pretty good Raw. This might sound sexist, but it's not. It's from a wrestling standpoint. I loved all of the matches except for the women's matches. I can't choose my favorite match or segment. There were too many great things. I can't wait for Clash at The Castle on Saturday.
