Am I the only one that thought of MJF before he was revealed. The only thing that threw me off was the size. The devil guy looked huge, so for a moment I thought it might be Cena, but then immediately thought of MJF.

Happy to see him back, but—sigh.
Seems like he’s a douche heel in a stable. Exactly where he was when he left.
Why even do the worked shoot promo, just to handwave it away? Maybe Wednesday will offer an explanation but it seems like a long and pointless road to a simple conclusion.

Maybe just me, but I think him and this group coming together is gonna be something big. A lot of nice pieces go into place here. A guy returning after a long absence who is super over with the crowd, a group of talented guys who feel slighted by all the ex-wwe guys coming in, and them taking out a now hated Punk. This is reminding me of how Bullet Club and the NWO formed.

The devil guy looked huge, so for a moment I thought it might be Cena, but then immediately thought of MJF. Nah, the finger wagging gesture tipped me off, I haven't seen him do it before but it was still his body language. Then I realised that between cost, and character appropriateness, he's the only possible person they'd fork out Sympathy for the Devil for, outside of a debuting Windham Rotunda, who was the wrong body shape.

I'm still gobsmacked how over shadowed this managed to be
Barely any talk about that voicemail message from TK prior to the reveal or that all this stuff with Stokely was part of this pay off

It’s kind of delicious irony that his antics overshadowed Wardlows big moment and now something else overshadowed his big moment.

I get that it was overshadowed but as someone who knew what happened before watching the show, I still thought it was really fun to see play out. A very clever idea that paid off in the end. And I think MJF is talented enough to steer the ship on Wednesday.

One major plothole for me is why on earth Tony would let him back at all, never mind let him have title shots. The voicemail where he explains he's swallowing a bitter pill for the sake of the fans covered it really well.

Unless MJF made TK book Wardlow very sparingly as TNT champion, Wardlow and his fans are kind of blaming the wrong dude for him stalling out. That has been much more of an issue for him than anything else, him being a complete non-entity.

His booking after winning the TNT title is what has cooled him off ( luckily for AEW he is still loved by the fans )

The voicemail where he explains he's swallowing a bitter pill for the sake of the fans covered it really well. it’s not a plot hole then if they covered it very well. also he said that basically having him back is good for the company so this is the last thing he’ll offer him to get him to come back

Happy to see guy back, great ending to the show.
Just wondered why he bothered to put the mask on if he was going to take it off before the night was over? Same with Stokely & his crew, really.
