I was horrified when I saw that spot early on, was stunned she wound up being ok...only for there to be a mistake at the end. Shit happens, but spots like the one early on just can't happen. Hope like hell Ruby's ok overall. On her booking front, I remember reading awhile back that she was more interested at this stage in putting people over, but she deserves and needs a big win now, both because her kayfabe credibility can use it and because she just deserves a big celebration moment. Hoping she'll be alright and get something good to work with; start out with having her win a revenge match against Tay (or maybe two if you throw Anna into the mix), go from there, but again first priority is her being well overall. That's crazy considering she hasn't been given anything in either WWE or AEW. I could understand if you are old and have accomplished a lot that you would want to start helping others out. However Ruby has never had any moments herself. Literally no accolades what so ever which is crazy. You think she would've at least won one title by this point. Foley and Bret Hart both wrote that there’s a fine line between putting people over without complaint and the office seeing you as a jobber. At some point, you have to stand up for yourself and say “Nah, it’s time for me to go over and run with it for awhile.” Ruby might not have that type of personality and it’s allowed her bookers to run wild over her selfless attitude.

Potential hot take - that looks more like a really bad accident than someone's fault. I don't think there's much Sammy can do there to ease the landing. It's more on the idea of the spot than anything. It's wrestling and shit happens unfortunately. Yeah I think her dropping for a flat bump was the safer option; but with the kick to the nose happening, instinct probably took over and she contorted in a weird way.

Something has got to give with this dude quick. Like, I hate even sounding like I'm accusing wrestlers of being evil in ring or whatever the hell, but this dude is a liability in and out of the ring right now. Look, I’m at the point where if Sammy isn’t evil, he’s severely incompetent. And at this point the only difference that makes, if someone ends up being seriously injured by his actions, is how harsh the legal repercussions would be. Evil, stupid, two sides of the same coin far as I care, and whichever side lands up, it means he is a liability and a walking lawsuit waiting to happen.

Also worth mentioning - it was a pre - show match.
Just makes it all the more infuriating.

I think it helps that she really seems to like the environment in AEW (Well, usually, maybe not so much these past few weeks), and said that the crowd chanting her name was basically a first for her. Like, for all the faults with her booking (Often seriously overstated, but yes, she could and should be doing more), she's still in a way better spot than she was for years. Still, would like to see her get the TBS title, moreso even than I would want her to win the women's title. Just feels more like something she could sink her teeth into.

Seems like a strange thing for her to say. Maybe she's too nice for her own good, lol.

I don't know how you can book Sammy in a match anytime soon after that
