AEW Talent Meeting Being Held Today AEW has a talent meeting. After Wrestling Observer reported that AEW Champion CM Punk was in Chicago, and not in Buffalo, it was also revealed that he and Ace Steel would have a zoom call with officials at 4 PM EST. That isn't the only meeting however. We're told that an AEW talent meeting was set to take place at 4:15 PM EST, with talent, referees, coaches and announcers. Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley were set to lead the meeting. Chris Jericho had been complimented by several on the AEW roster about his demeanor and resolve as the Elite/CM Punk situation unfolded. Wrestling Observer also confirmed Fightful Select's report of a CM Punk injury, and added that he needs surgery, and that the title situation would be resolved. The Wrestling News' Brian Last reported yesterday that suspensions all around would be coming. Fightful Select will work to learn more details of the meetings. per Frightful With those three leading the charge I like to imagine a mixture of a high school youth group assembly and one of those scared straight field trips. If they want to lean more towards scared straight, get Kingston in on it as well. |

XX years in the future, when I'm on my deathbed and my failing brain is churning up random memories, I bet my final words have nothing at all to do with my family, my last wishes or my regrets. AEW having backstage issues doesn’t necessarily make them an absolute rabble on the verge of collapse. It just makes them a normal wrestling promotion.
I mean, I know there were some that hoped that everything would be sunshine and chocolate with an executive staff claiming to learn the lessons from the likes of Vince, Bischoff, Dixie, etc. and do things differently to prevent the kinds of errors those regimes would make. But the human ego is what it is. You don’t know for sure when something could flare those up.

AEW needs to go the other direction with Pinkertons and instead have the show open with the roster singing El Scorcho together in solidarity The thought of Pinkertons has me imagining Tony as Dutch from Red Dead 2 yelling at Mox to not worry and he has a plan. This reminded me I thought of an edit to do during work and had to just sit with this idea in my head lol  |

So SRS and Jimmy Van were actually very complimentary on how Tony Khan is handling things. I'm going by some of the tidbits going around without full info, but I think it sounds really well done. They spent the last 3 days investigating everything that went down and are acting accordingly. |
