“Mr Khan, how do you respond to the charges of AEW’s backstage area being a drug-fueled free for all?”
“YOU CAN’T KILL WHAT IS ALREADY DEAD!!” (jumps out third-story window, lands directly a moped, drives off a nearby dock, begins swimming south)

So Punk became like Mark Callaway.
This is the closest CM Punk has ever been to being a locker-room leader.

Dude did a f***ing Pepsi Plunge because he could even though by his own words, he took it out of his WWE arsenal because it was absolute murder on the knees. Also I didn't realize the Bucks were straight edge, too. Though I knew that about Omega. I think Danielson's drug-free, too? That's actually something I'm never quite sure of. Is is still "straight edge" if you're not into the punk scene part of it? Wouldn't it just be that you don't drink or do drugs (I'll leave the 'no promiscuity' part out of it, as that seems to be optional anyway), at that point? It can get really cloudy, and like a lot of things that begin to drift from their original meaning, it's really down to whether you want to self-identify with it or not. I think most people who just abstain from drinking or drugs wouldn't really describe as such, or they would get sucked up into some other subculture phrasing from new age/'healthy living' buzzwords that strip away all the ideas of Punk and leave just the same general lifestyle guidelines in their place. But 'straight edge' is also a term so steeped in militant clownery and decades of stigma for attracting the most insufferable people that I wouldn't be surprised if lots of people bounce fast off of thinking of straddling the terms even without punk scene cred behind them.

Yeah Straight Edge is generally steeped in decades of smug superiority, that I know a few people that "qualify" to be called Straight Edge refuse to refer to themselves as such there's a reason why Straight Edge means I'm better than you was Punk's original heel battle cry...

I don't drink or do drugs but I'd never call myself straight edge. I don't have a connection to the punk scene and don't care what anyone else does with their body, so it's never seemed to fit. I don't use any labels for it all. I just don't do some stuff that other people do.

>alcohol and drug fueled parties lmao what the f***, get a load of this nerd. This has actually been a thing for awhile especially when they were back at Daily's...Joey Janela has commented on it in the past. The rumor goes that they had an entire floor to themselves at times for these type of parties. These parties as stated by people who have attended weren't much more than weed and white claw but marijuana is still illegal in Florida for recreation so that is where the drama continues to fire. I once made a thread here regarding "allegations of marijuana use" surrounding Khan and Big Swole talking about this situation and the fact that marijuana is still illegal in Florida. oh I know. I think it's stupid that "alochol and drug fueled parties" is the line here. It's f***ing white claws and pot. This isn't ECW where there are hookers and heroin needles with Balls Mahoney passing out pills and New Jack doing coke plotting to murder someone.

And the only "real" source claiming it's anything more than people hanging around has been, of course, Brad Shepard. So Konan is now recycling the noise of the worst bullshit artist 'journalist' in the business on his nonsense. There hasn't even been a conclusive claim of an 'exclusive floor'; Janela just mentioned parties. And like, of course he did.

Maybe elsewhere, but not on this. And it would be easy to. It'd be real easy to start puffing up the words that would generate clicks and attention and scandal. But all he's claimed is that the 'partying' at AEW was a bunch of people hanging around with some light drinks and weed after hours-long block tapings without fans during the pandemic, and then went on to say he's seen shit on the indies that'd make AEW look like pre-school. Even if there are sore feelings, he's definitely not amplifying garbage reporting from Brad Shepard with those feelings.

Holy shit, co-workers away from home and partying together with alcohol and pot. Stop the presses. What a scandal. Take any group of co-workers that like each other, put them in a hotel together somewhere, and I'm sure they'd do the same.
The quote in that tweet makes it sound like they were snorting enough coke to make 1980s Vince McMahon blush and were swimming in tequila.

Like, you could call CM Punk a teetotaler, but you couldn't call Triple H straight edge.

I think teetotaling specifically refers to alcohol. Like you can smoke weed or cigarettes and still be a teetotaler if you don't drink the bubbly.

I heard Konnan talk on that and all I could think is, whether it’s true or not, it’s a smart angle for the Phil camp to play “Punk was trying to uphold professionalism he adopted from WWE, and the AEW roster wouldn’t have it” If he is playing to go back to WWE.
That and the Hausman interview scream Punk’s thinking that.

As a former Gamestop employee, shitting on Gamestop for how stupid they are is very cathartic. I work at EBGames here in Australia and I am so miserable even though I don't work many shifts lmfao
