Probably: AmDrag Dark Horse: Darby
Other: Anyone but Moxley. I know he's beloved, but I'm sick to death of him at the top. If we HAVE to have a "doesn't give a shit" type, give me Darby. Darby winning to a thunderous crowd eruption only to be challenged by MJF 2 minutes later for an impromptu match (which Darby the valiant face would accept) and then MJF wins would be amazing.
Just not Moxley. For the love of god. Let someone screw him out of the tournament, and then that's his new feud.
Give other people time to shine, or someone new a chance to run with the title.

So... is Miro injured? Just thinking if this is a "champion of champions" tournament, he's the glaring omission from it. Especially with Bryan in when he's a world champion, but not in AEW. I was also thinking, shouldn't the 2 with a bye be Mox and Hangman as the last 2 champions? I like the idea of the tournament, but not super psyched about the execution. They could have thrown tag champs in too, then you'd have Kaz Dax Cash Penta Fenix Jungle Boy Luchasaurus Miro Mox Jericho Hangman Sammy Darby Ok you lose Bryan, but there are so many stories to tell within THAT group of characters, can even give Kaz a one last shot storyline, work in Jurassic Express exploding, 2 members of the JAS, Darby and Miro's new association, FTR having all those tag belts going for singles gold etc. I dont think they wanted to stretch the Tourney out that long, so they just went with some obvious choices. As for Miro {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} He has a Rampage spoiler this week where he is pissed he isn't included in the Tournament, probably going somewhere. Thanks for that spoiler, good to see that. I can understand them not wanting to drag it out, plus that would need a lot to planning. Best of a bad situation.

I'm not the biggest Danielson girl (I appreciate he's an excellent wrestler but I've just never clicked with him) but he seems the safest and best choice.
Although Mox is a safe pair of hands and probably deserves it, I don't think giving him another title reign so quickly looks good for the title. Giving it to Sammy or Darby because they're "AEW guys" and pillars would be a bold statement (and a middle finger to some of what Punk said) but would be a mistake, I think. Jericho has a good chance, but I'd prefer it not to be him.

I must apologize. Checking in on the poll and I was like “Who the hell voted for Sammy?” and realized it was me… It’s been fixed.

None of the above. I would have dropped the tournament of champions stuff, had Kingston take Guevara out, and climb his way to title match. Add Cesaro to the mix and have both men face each other in the tourney finals. I don't know. Anything but the current line-up which pretty much ensures i'll have no interest in the title scene for the next coming weeks.

danielson.
way i see it is a bit of a dnaielson revenge tour- he finally got his win over hangman, just lost to jericho so he can get his win back there so he can go BCC vs BCC with mox (i forget who won their match pre-BCC- think it was mox) plus he's the only non- aew champ in the tourney. as far as disqualifying the others
1) hangman wasn;t going to win because that might be seen as a sign of favoring the "bucks" side of the brawl 2) jericho doesn;t need the title at this point, and going back to him would be running in place with another repeat champ so soon after mox and punk. 3) sammy- given his recent incident he's only here for the "guy with the most aew titles in history so can;t leave him out" but isn;t getting past mox even if he beats darby 4) darby- will probably beat sammy and there's a bit of history between him and mox as one of the few folk mox respected in the early days. but i don;t see him beating mox 5) moxley- if not for winning, then losing the title in the last two weeks literally he'd be a good bet. but mox winning would be more of a lateral move vs having someone new get the title.
so yeah i can't see this ending in any way but danielson taking the title. he has the "recognizable name" factor of mox/punk and people would be happy to see him win it vs someone else who might get CM punk chants thrown their way for their reign.

I think it's Dragon; they want something big on the marquee to sell what few tickets remain for Grand Slam, so Mox/Dragon would be it, and Danielson winning would get the biggest reaction...hell, I know I'LL make the biggest reaction if I get to see it live.
Dragon could easily bring stability to the belt by having a series of varied matches against a slew of challengers, or he could carry it temporarily and be perfectly happy to drop it to MJF or whomever, so he gives you tons of options to work with.
...Now, ideally we'd be going into Grand Slam with Eddie Kingston lined up to win it in front of a NYC crowd, but Danielson's one of my all time favorites so that'd still work fine for me. Hearing the Buffalo crowd last night they definitely wanted Danielson, and I think that'll continue with the crowds moving forward.

Give me Danielson vs. Darby Final. fresh match and with facing MJF either one makes for a good story imo. Danielson wins his 1st AEW only to be f***ed over by MJF or have 2 of your Pillars face off.
Both work for me.
Mox needs a break Jericho is same old shit Sammy? f*** Sammy

Want: Darby. He's the dark horse, IMO, and he being the first pillar to win that title and use it against MJF in their feud would be great.
Expect: Not Sammy. I just can't see him winning it. The rest all make sense.
Finals: Bryan v. Sammy. I think MJF cost Mox his match with Sammy and Yuta and Garcia stop JAS from getting involved in the Jericho/Bryan match.

Similar to Punk’s last walkout/departure/hiatus, have Bryan come along and cleanse the bitter taste from everyone’s palates with a big ‘W.’

I mean BD is the obvious choice. Mox we've been there and it would be a weird u-Turn after everything so I wouldn't do it even with the tease of him and MJF but he is the workhorse. Jericho.... meh he's got other things going on. Darby would be cool but feels a bit out of no where and needs more build. Sammy.... lol nope. Honestly another BD vs Mox match would be great but we got MJF hanging over it so that might put things off there

First choice was Hangman but I’ll go with Bryan too. Just kinda feels right considering everything that’s been going on.
Darby would be interesting. But even tho I’m a Darby guy I can’t make up my mind if he’s ready.

After his promo tonight thinking it will be Mox and I want him to get the belt back. But his talk of him supposed to be on vacation did make me think it might be Danielson.
The winner will lose the belt soon to MJF I would imagine anyway.

Yeah, BD needs to win this one. It would add some much needed legitimacy to the title.

Voted Danielson, but kind of want Moxley to win and get a bunch of successful defenses so it keeps postponing his vacation which eventually leads to a promo where he’s like “will someone finally kick my ass so I can go on vacation!? I’m trying to get laid here.”

Doing a MITB like cash-in, the most unbelievably overused trope in wrestling the last 15-20 years, would be far far more tiresome than Moxley.

The more I think on it the more I kind of think the finals might end up being Bryan / Sammy with that being when Garcia finally cements his face turn. It fits logically with the current build, it'd give Mox more time to take his vacation, you could do a post-match segment paralleling Bryan putting the belt on Garcia, and it's a match you could hype as a pretty big deal on TV without really being one you'd ever sell a PPV around.
