MJF being an insincere ass and getting called out for it was def funny cause he said f*** that noise and went back to classic him
Him name dropping Cody and HHH adds a little heat tho I hope they don't go back to the shooting version of his character we saw before he left but this fits his character as far as bidding war like he alluded to
Passionate promo by Mox. Whatever leadership qualities he didn't have in WWE, he has in AEW and then some. He loves that place and it showed, he properly rallied the troops and showed why he has been the top guy for them

MJF showed he could be amazing face someday in that promo. And Mox's was just amazing stuff all around he's been my absolute favorite on the mic lately. "It's time to be a legend."

I loved MJF's promo. I just could have done without that minute where he got far too specific about WWE stuff. I'd rather he just hint at it in broad terms than actually name-check Triple H and Nick Khan. That makes me roll my eyes, not boo him.
Mox was fantastic throughout.

Ah, the continuation of AEW's greatest feud: Schiavone vs. MJF's continued existence.

An Ace Promo immediately followed up by another Ace Promo
Just a full on "Listen if Punk's gone forever, we're gonna be ok" feel, they absolutely needed that to start a night that just fired on all cylinders afterward. Everyone was motivated as f*** tonight

That was one of the most entertaining first 20 minutes to a wrestling show I’ve ever seen. That was amazing, and I’ve been watching for 30+ years

Idk why but Mox reminded me of 2002-2003 Undertaker when he came out and was just staring MJF down.

The important thing is MJF jobbed to a shirt.

The WWE stuff was pushing it a little, but it was as perfect a “forget all that other stuff, here’s what really matters” type of segment as you can get.

An Ace Promo immediately followed up by another Ace Promo Not to be confused with Ace’s promo on Sunday. “Om nom nom nom.”

That was an incredible segment. Just a phenomenal job from both men on what they were out there to achieve.

It was great indeed I just hope they do something where Max cost Mox the belt and we get either Jericho or Darby or Bryan with it. Have Mox chase Max for the title.

I did not miss the "I am going to be heading elsewhere with better pay or better talent" MJF before he left. That was annoying and tiresome.
Moxley, aside from trying to prop up Sammy Guevara, was money about talking on why being AEW Champion mattered so much to him.

I love that I knew right away the babyface act was fake and he was just trolling but then towards the end of the segment was like, "Maybe he really is a face now" only to be proven both right and wrong. 😭

I hated his whole "will I leave in 2024 or not" promos that he seemed to do weekly for 5-6 months. So for him to come back and start that shit again, I couldn't be any more uninterested.
I was hoping Tony would've put a stop to that, but it seems like we're going to have to put up with it for the next 15-16 months.

The only way I ever want to see more of the meta WWE teasing is if they get Cody or someone over there to actually play along with it past the odd Twitter interaction.
Other than that, I was really hoping he wasn't going to have the inevitable "I was WORKING YOU MARKS!" twist, but the first part of his promo (as well as the LI Dynamites) definitely show he'll be more than able to hold his own as an actual babyface whenever he's ready or TK's ready.
