The last King George (VI) took one of his middle names, having been known as Prince Albert for the previous 42 years. Incoming Kings and Queens can use any of their given names. So that narrows the names to: Charles III Phillip I George VII Arthur I Still hoping he becomes the first actual King Arthur.

Sure, I'm well aware of the rules. It's still going to be f***ing bizarre if he chooses to do that though. I've heard a lot of "Charles I and II were awful" but I think there's something to be said for trying to take the stink off of "King Charles" Aside from being publicly known as Charles for 73 years already In double checking his age I discovered there was already a movie made about his ascension to the throne (and a brief, disastrous reign) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Charles_III_(film)

Without getting into specificals I do worry what comes next, respect for her held a lot in place.

I'm just really glad The Queen was able to take in the love and gratitude one last time at her Jubilee
I remember at the time thinking this moment was very poignant

It's going to feel really odd the first time I hear Bond refer to "the King"

If there was one moment that made me realise the resolve of the Queen it was her at Philip’s funeral. Lockdown was at its peak, the government were flaunting social distancing rules and there she was alone at Westminster Abbey saying her goodbyes.
I’m not a monarchist, and personally think their best value is tourism, but this is still someone’s mam, grandma and great grandma, and recognise she means a lot to many people.

RIP.
The longest constant famous person in my life has passed.
Crazy to think she was in her 70s when I was 10 years old.

I’m a Brit and certainly no royalist, but damn...she’s been around all my life, had an eighty year reign and, for better or worse, was one of the defining figures of Britain in all that time.
Knowing that’s now at an end is hard to fathom.

When does the new money get put into circulation? So I could be wrong but I think they just continue at the same rate as always but the 2023 will start with Charles on them. So expect to see a lot of Queen heads for many years to come before they naturally fall out of circulation.

So does this mean that schools and businesses in London are closed and if so for how long?

So does this mean that schools and businesses in London are closed and if so for how long? Not necessarily. In fact certain companies who were planning upcoming strikes have cancelled these strikes. She’ll no doubt get a State Funeral which basically means everyone will get at the least a half-day off of work. But nothing’s set in stone.

So does this mean that schools and businesses in London are closed and if so for how long? They just postponed a highly anticipated all women's boxing card. So I anticipate a week or so. It really all depends on the business. Bjt any events have been pushed back for the queens death. (I disagree with it but she was a famous figure)

Saw a thing on Twitter a guy was at his Canadian citizenship ceremony.
They have a long delay because they were originally instructed to swear allegiance to the queen...
