Seriously what was this about? With the exception of the 1990 Royal Rumble when he was tossed by Andre, the Warlord was eliminated by Hogan in nearly every battle royal he was in.
1989 Royal Rumble: Warlord is clotheslined out by Hogan in 2 seconds setting a record that would stand for twenty years.
1991 Royal Rumble: Warlord comes in at #29 and somehow only lasts a minute and a half in a year where almost everyone was lasting super long before getting clotheslined out by Hogan again.
Saturday Night's Main Event Battle Royal April 1991: Hogan tosses the Warlord.
1992 Royal Rumble: Warlord gets the coveted #30 spot but once again is eliminated in under 2 minutes as Hogan with help from Sid Justice dumps him out (Heenan: WHERE"S THE BEEF? THERE'S THE BEEF PAL! Gorilla: AND THERE GOES THE BEEF! WHAT A SURPRISE WARLORD OUT OF THERE!)
Madison Square Garden Battle Royal February 1992: Warlord actually manages to make it to the Final Four but gets eliminated by you guessed it.
World War 3 1995: Even under a mask as Super Assassin #2 The Warlord isn't safe from The Hulkster. Hogan clotheslines him out in pretty the same way he eliminated him in the 91 Rumble.
Did Hogan just see him as this major threat or something that he would always make it his first priority to search out The Warlord and eliminate him? So strange.

wow I could have told you off the top of my head that he threw out the Warlord a couple times but Warlord sure got a lot of Hogan aggro.
Kayfabe, maybe Hogan felt he needed to establish a clear pecking order for muscular bald guys.
Non-kayfabe, maybe because Hogan always got to eliminate half a dozen guys and Warlord fit that mold of midcarder big man with a main event look that would make the commentators gush over his elimination as if it was some kind of a big deal.

He knew that given the chance the sheer charisma of the Warlord would lead him to obsolescence. lol
Warlord was my favorite wrestler as a kid so it was annoying seeing him getting tossed so quick all the time.

I have two theories. First is it would make for a cool visual for Hogan to eliminate a big guy so quickly and also, back then people probably didn't remember from year to year who eliminated who and how quickly. Another thing is, if Pat Patterson was writing the whole rumble, he may have stuck with what worked and kept using the Hogan-Warlord eliminations.
That doesn't explain World War 3 though. Maybe Hogan and he were buddies and it was easy for them to work together.

Hogan liked Warlord. He was a big beast and easy to work with. Warlord even talked about when he and Barbarian had their meeting about coming in to the WWF that they got there and Hogan was in the room with Vince and Pat. Funny thing is they only had one singles match together in August of 1991 as the Nassau Coliseum. Had Warlord gone solo sooner I could see him doing at least one house show loop with Hogan just to freshen up the cards. It probably didn't help that they seemed to job Warlord the hell out on the house shows post-Summerslam '90.

I bet the whole reason Warlord wore a mask in WCW was to prevent Hogan throwing him out of battle royals. I could see Warlord at WW3 self-congratulating himself for being so sneaky and then locking eyes with Hogan just as he was coming at him with the big clothesline.

What a funny fact. Lol.
It's like Warlord saw into the future and said, "It ain't Hogan's highlight, it's our highlight."

Yeah, I'm guessing Hogan just enjoyed working with Warlord and trusted making the elimination look good.
I mean if you're going to get eliminated by someone, may as well be Hogan.

Should have been Hogan vs. Warlord at Wrestlemania 7, there I said it.

I can see the first two being a coincidence but after they realised that it was a reoccurring thing it might've become an in joke between the two of them

Both also share the same shoot first name of Terry. Perhaps that had something to with it as well. With all the similarities maybe Hogan felt threatened that Warlord was going to take his spot so he politicked to eliminate him in every battle royal to ensure that Warlordamania would never be a thing.

He was jealous that the Warlord was the Queen's favorite wrestler, despite Hogan wrestling at SummerSlam in Wembley even after the Hulkster in Heaven passed away.

That Bulldog/Warlord Mania match is far better than it has any right to be.
On the Hogan/Warlord Battle Royals, I'll just add that Warlord's timing for that spot in 1989 is immaculate. Even a second off and he mucks up the timing for the big angle about to happen.

Damn, I have a memory in my mind of a house show report during an early 90s WWF show mentioning Hogan vs. Warlord, but I swore it was later than '91. Likely either didn't happen later or I'm just misremembering some early childhood stuff.

Now I picture Hogan constantly ruining Warlord's day in all kinds of ways. - Dents his car
- Steals his towel
- Breaks his scepter
- Ruins his favorite TV show with spoilers
- Cancels his hotel reservation
- Wipes a booger on his locker
- Uses the last of his contact solution
- Kills his succulents
- Takes the last doughnut
