I don't have any inherent issues with a static background of wrestlers' logos being on the screen when they enter. It kind of reminds me of WrestleMania: The Arcade Game, which is a perfect representation of my favorite era of the WWF, visually.
I know this sounds hyperbolic, but I sincerely mean it when I say that the AR/CGI stuff is an active detriment to the product for me. Like, it makes me not want to watch. I really wish they would do away with that. They think it makes the company look more sleek and modern, but it really just looks bush league. Like watching a live action PS2 game or something.

I've never really had a huge problem with this, honestly. Theme songs on the other hand...

Honestly I never really thought Titantron videos ever really did anything for people's characters either. I do think the approach they have right now sucks, but that's more because if they're going to go with the massive LED vomit then they'd be better served using it to establish stuff about the characters or do cool visuals or whatever but I can only think of a small handful of times they've, like, ever done that well, top of my head the video game stuff they did with TJP's entrance. Apollo and ADR's back screens being a palace and a driveway to an Estate respectively were really good at the establishing characters. and kinda dumb roaring aside Apollo's AR lion statues were pretty cool too, one of the few that I think actually work. The thing tron videos did that the current static graphics don't also show off like the signature moves... and someone like Ricochet whose entire character is I can do cool shit would absolutely thrive if they showed off some of his highlight reel.

CGI Becky is the only one I'd like to see stay. It makes me chuckle. I'm not biased or anything.

I’d think they’d have to change the whole physical structure of the stage before they could go back to putting action footage back into the entrance videos (because that’s what it’s really about, not having action footage in the videos). Having that on a screen that big would be sensory overload, and that’s saying something given the whole setup is that. Like, Carmella had it recently, and it still didn’t look right. Yeah, that screen is just way too big for videos and when they do it where the video only takes up a certain amount of the frame, it looks cheap. If we go back to a time with unique entrance stages, great, then bring back titantrons. What they should do is just have some sort of thematic background for each wrestler without any actual text and then everybody gets a unique lower third. Play something on the scoreboards if you need people to recognize who's coming out. The giant text is what makes things look back. Judgment Day is a perfect example of how the AR and video screen can enhance an entrance. What do you guys think about how NJPW does it? (Or did it) In fairness I haven't watched in a long time due to it feeling stagnant for me, but there was a time where their trons were the best in wrestling (around the time AEW was starting up-era) Naito's and Tanahashi's come to mind, that I think did a great job of balancing what a tron could look like while being tailored to the performer. At the time it wasn't overly "video clips edited together" and felt like a lot of After Effects and layering and it just worked. I think WWE could do something similar with their huge LED everywhere everything. I mean there's gotta be something more than "name on screen in generic font"....one would hope

Cody’s AR graphics just being banners and his neck tat logo is one of the better ones.

I don't mind AR graphics as an idea; these shows are filmed with the home audience in mind and they add a nice touch when they fit the entrance.
Problem is, they sometimes don't fit the entrance. Seth's weird spinning disk thing and Alexa's giant doll come to mind.

I support this 100%. Get rid of the stupid CGI bullshit too. You have this huge screen, and floor, and LED ring stuff, there's SO much they could do, and they coast by on generic cheap looking Adobe templates they googled under "free templates". Exactly, if they're gonna have this gaudy shit all over the arena they should at least DO something with it.

It's always crazy how for a billion dollar conglomerate, the yearly MS Paint thread on here is genuinely better sometimes than what we get. No disrespect, ya'll great.

My few cents: 1)Yes, the tron videos are fun...but during a show, how often did you really pay attention to them? Most times I saw them was after the fact with seeing them on YouTube or in the games, exceptions being one of the first official true Tron videos for Bret Hart during the mid 90s.
2)The various graphics in 3D (Street Profits, Becky, Bianca, etc) just remind me of the old Saturday Night Main Event/The Main Event days when match-up screens showed logos.
3)I'd rather the "poor design" of the logos and graphics than the simplistic "make sure it looks good on a smart phone" designs trend that is going around nowadays (looking at you, Warner Bros. logo).
