While the debut was well received, people were waiting for new wrestlers coming in with Triple H, I thought it's such a random throw together. Would have preferred if Bayley comes out first and then over time the two others help her as (more independent) recruits.
The only problem I have ever seen with Emma is matches tend to slow to a crawl with her and it can lead to awkward moments where they are waiting on the opponent to make moves and get into position for things. That's kind of the impression I get with her too. Like technically she's fine in that her moveset is pretty good and her moves look good once she actually hits them (the wheel barrel suplex she did for example looked really good and is also a unique move you don't see much). However the transitions getting to the moves are real awkward and clunky. I know she's has a decent injury history so I don't know if maybe that has something to do with it. I don't remember it being an issue in say 2015 when she was on NXT and probably at her peak as a worker. It happened following her health problems (shoulder surgery, think something went on top wrong and she had to do a 2nd + immune disorder www.instagram.com/p/CAXc9spAT1s/ ), Tenille has been pretty smooth before. Hopefully her health improved and she now just has to get back on track with some more matches. I think for that reason it would have been better if she's used in some tag matches and house shows first. Hopefully things still go well, looking forward to an Emmalution.

It is interesting how we thought the stipulation matches at Extreme Rules and Crown Jewel were designed to allow Bianca some protection in defeat as she could drop the title without eating a clean pinfall. Yet, if anything they've been used to extend this feud, with Bianca taking pinfall losses at CatC and on Raw, while Bianca has only beaten Bayley via climbing the ladder and by trapping her inside the ladder.

And unless Bianca pins her at Wargames then it will once again be yet another way to have her beat Bayley without actually pinning her. What makes it even stranger is they had Candice LeRae pin Bayley clean the night after Extreme Rules. So they've really gone out of their way to protect Bayley more then anyone else that has feuded with Bianca so far (she's pinned Bianca twice while Bianca has never pinned her even once) but yet have her eat a clean pin right in the middle of the ring to a midcard face who couldn't even beat her flunky friend (Dakota) in a previous match. Nothing about it makes any sense what so ever.

It's probably worth remembering how protected those pins were. The one at Clash took cheating as well as three consecutive finishers, while the Raw one had Bianca getting a very obvious visual pin, as well as needing interference. It's also interesting how with some breaks (the longest due to injry), they've basically been feuding since late 2020, always to Bianca's advantage.

Bianca did dominate her when she previously feuded. It sucks it had to end as a result of Bayley getting hurt but that feud was so bad. Just Bianca beating her over and over in title matches yet Bayley inexplicably continuously getting title shots against her for no reason because the SD Women's division was so bad and they had no other heel with any credibility. I'm sure Bianca would've won the PPV match that was canceled too and Bayley would've still got like three more PPV title shots. In this version of the feud though Bayley has had more success against her then probably anyone else. I guess maybe Becky but Bianca eventually dominated her as well. They were shady wins but that's the best you are going to get against Bianca with how strong they book her. Two pinfalls no matter what shenanigans and without being pinned once in a feud with Super Bianca is almost a miracle.

Time to wonder what's next for them now the story from Summerslam on has ended with them losing when it counted, which has basically been the story of the whole feud.

Seems like the best move to make would be to just completely drop the Damage CTRL branding and Bayley's involvement with them. Keep IYO and Dakota together, entirely because they're the only tag team so you don't really have a choice, but the stable as it is is completely useless at this juncture and continuing to associate with each other really just feels like it'd be dragging everyone involved down more than anything.
I don't think there's even any mileage in having them bother to have an actual feud with Becky because she already got her revenge and even three-on-one I wouldn't buy them as threats to her.

Here's what you do.
You have Iyo and Dakota dump Bayley and make Rob Van Dam the new leader, then call them Van Damage CTRL.

Like, if the intent was for a nice little program that had Belair doing her Belair things and get Kai and Sky adjusted to the main roster with the help of a vet like Bayley that ends with the top star being the top star and another top star getting revenge for being injured by the dastardly heels, mission accomplished. Time to move on. I just CAN'T with the f***ing "CAREERS ARE DYING" melodrama. Never have, never will. I've been a fan for too long to not write anyone off at any point. Like, Lynch herself spent her first three years on the main roster as a complete non-factor in comparison to the top stars other than a brief three month window in 2016. And it took the new brand split happening for her to even get THAT first title run, one which was very stop-start in its own right.

I do think anyone saying their careers are dead over this is definitely overstating it, but I do think they're pretty much starting off on a completely unnecessary back foot being first established through being Bianca's personal JOB Squad for months and these three having anything to do with each other can only do more harm than good at this point because this group is 1), a complete and total joke, and 2), even getting past that just wildly uninteresting.
Like without the context of her NXT run I don't think I could tell you a damn thing about Dakota Kai because she exists entirely for people to beat up on the way to beating up Bayley.

Also if rumors are to believed freaking Eva Marie was supposed to be the first SD Champion and Becky only got it after she got suspended and subsequently released. Then Becky was booked like a weak champion for three months playing second fiddle to Nikki Bella who was captain of their Survivor Series team even though Becky was champion and eating pins in tag matches. No champion who was supposed to be the top face of the division ever booked so weakly. Then they jobbed her out to their new favorite toy Alexa Bliss which by that point kind of just came off like a mercy killing if anything. It's why I've never been upset with the strong booking. After all the crap girl had to go through she deserves it.

We mentioned this earlier, but coming out of this War Games match, they needed to protect Rhea(to better set her up as Bianca’s future challenger) and they needed to protect Damage Ctrl( if they wanted the feud with Becky to have any “legs”). Well, they already f***ed that up already. Separating Dakota & IYO from Bayley sounds simple, but with the lack of care for the tag titles and the lack of tag teams period, doing so may just end up with them being relegated to catering and fading away into irrelevancy like Natalya/Tamina and Carmella/Zelina. It’s such a mess they made of things, but it’s one that they made with their piss-poor booking decisions.

Send Bayley back down to NXT so she can enroll at Chase U and sign her up for Leadership 101 with Prof. Rose. Class starts at 1:00 PM M/W/F.

It's kind of remarkable how amazing this debut was at Summerslam and we're a few months later and it feels like WWE just fumbled everything about this group
All because they seem deathly terrified of Bianca (And now Becky) taking clean pins anymore.

I could believe that Eva rumour, given the division's first few weeks were built around her wacky BEGUILING gimmick. The interesting thing about Becky's 2016 title run is that you're right, but she was also booked quite strongly in the 2016 Survivor Series match. She was the first person to tap out Nia on the main roster, and nearly beat Charlotte before Bayley saved her.

Send Bayley back down to NXT so she can enroll at Chase U and sign her up for Leadership 101 with Prof. Rose. Class starts at 1:00 PM M/W/F. Professor Rose's Laws of Leadership 1. Leaders wear revealing clothes as much as possible. Put all eyes on you. 2. Leaders let it be known any chance they get that they are indeed the "Baddest Bitch in the game". Display confidence. Establish that you are in charge. 3. Leaders drive a Range Rover and then make whoever is the lesser favorite of their two lackies sit in back seat of said Range Rover ALL the time. Establish a firm pecking order. 4. Leaders have themself and their lackies split up Scooby Doo style in cases where you are looking for something whether it be your championship belt or a psychotic ginger Celtic woman (this law might come very much in handy for you and your crew right now). It will go miserably at first but will end up working out perfectly in the end. 5. Leaders are always very tan. 6. Leaders get their own lounge. If available can also include shirtless beefcakes in bow ties to serve you and your friends drinks. 7. Leaders ALWAYS win.

I don't think Becky was ever booked as badly as Damage CTRL has been. Underutilized definitely but I don't think she ever felt like a useless speedbump who couldn't win a three-on-one fight even at her lowest.
