Back when Fish got let go from WWE a local indie contacted him to boook him. He wanted 2500,a plane ticket a hotel room,2 meals and wanted to be able to pick his opponent. Might explain why he didn't get booked much before getting signed to AEW. Is it just me or does none of that seem too outrageous? Maybe the 2 meals is a little odd but might as well ask lol $2500 sounds like a hell of a lot for an indie booking. I'd say the flight & accommodations would be acceptable if he were charging maybe $500 for the show itself, otherwise I think $2500 already sounds pretty damn generous for one night of work. I'd imagine Fish can also keep whatever he makes off of merchandise, no split with the promoter. |

My son and I have taken to calling him And Bobby Fish. As in "hey, it's Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly....And Bobby Fish". That is grossly unfair.
It should be "hey, it's Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong....And Bobby Fish".

"plane ticket a hotel room, 2 meals" This is the bare minimum anyone gets when asked to travel professionally. I don't think I would travel for my job unless all my meals were paid for. If i am required to travel for work, I am not dipping into my own cash during that time You’re thinking in terms of an actual company. This is a local indie wrestling show. Fish’s requests likely come close to, if not exceed, the amount of money the show makes. There’s a very slim possibility more than 10 people in the world would say “Bobby Fish is gonna be there?! Get me a ticket now!!”, so he’s not drawing any interest or business. It’s fair play for him to ask but shooting him down immediately is the only thing that promoter could do. I mean fine, then don't book him if you can't afford his request? I don't get why any 3rd party would have an opinion on a business deal between two people for whom you have no relationship to either |

Yeah Fish's requests are completely reasonable there. If the company can't afford that well that's fine to. But to say he's being unfair with his requests implies he should lower his asking price which.. i mean know your worth and don't lower your asking price or requests just because a company can't afford it.

Fish maybe a little high but if your a more in demand talent its not that crazy. Anybody who been a former WWE and now AEW talent on big time TV shows prices go up. |

Ryback was asking for (and getting) $20,000 per indie date when he was released.
Confirmed by multiple sources during the 2016 boom of wrestlers with podcasts.
Fish was never on the marque at Ryback's level of course, but for perspective I'd say Fish brings at the very least more than 1/8 the name value of Ryback.

I can't believe any indie would believe Bobby Fish would sell $2500+ worth of additional tickets as a solo performer when all the high points of his career have been as the other guy in tag teams. Kinda feels like a Jim Neidhart asking Bret money.
