The people I know that play lots of mobile games all live in areas with no internet access. So they got their phones. Most of them are women over 40.

I know plenty of people that admit to both, as well as WoW. outside of Candy Crush I don't think I've heard anyone really playing too many mobile games. Hell Mobile games are apparently on a massive decline. My impression with mobile games was that many of those who are most active mobile gamers are not who you would typically identify as 'gamers'. Essentially, there not being a ton of overlap with other forms of gaming. my second part of the mobile gamer market declining is because all of the big names in it have basically massively downsized there. My guess is because of all the ads are basically lies.

It probably doesn't help that mobile gaming is like the wild west with clones of any semi-successful game popping up all over the place.

I have yet to meet anybody who actually plays the game. Nobody quotes lines from the game or makes references to things in the game. As well as the lack of fan porn, as some have pointed out(the true sign of no fans). I played it for like 6 months. AMA.

For me it checks the same mental red flag as those "dirty" fast food places that every big town has. You know, the shitty Wendy's/Arby's/Whatever that has dogshit level food and looks trashed yet it's been in business for 20+ years and is still chugging along.
There's obviously something going on that's not advertised but it ain't worth my life trying to find out what it is.

My friends in Toronto once walked into a place and quickly realized it was a front. The menu was written on a slip of paper. The options were 1. Salad, 2. Ham Sandwich, 3. Salad and Ham Sandwich. They also quickly realized there were very few people in there and decided to try another place.

I played it for like 6 months. AMA. Ok. Why? Tried it out on a whim. It was a good bathroom, or idling game. Something to spend small amounts of downtime on.

I was curious and checked download numbers on the Google Play Store. A game I'm actually playing, Empires & Puzzles, has five times the downloads (50 M compared to 10 M), and I've actually met two people in real life who play that one. To me, Raid is just a YouTube sponsor. Just wanted to shout out that I also play Empires & Puzzles!

I play a few mobile games based on franchises I like. A couple of them shut down (RIP Final Fantasy Record Keeper) and others either weren't very good or took up way too much space on my phone.
The ones that I play right now are Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, Dissidia Opera Omnia, and Fire Emblem Heroes. Been interested in trying the Nier one, but my phone can't handle it and Android emulation can be a pain in the ass.

I do appreciate the Youtubers who put chapters in their videos so we can skip the Raid ad immediately.

The only mobile game that I play that I’ve seen ads for is Toy Blast, but it is fun, doesn’t really need pay to play (it’s a puzzle game), and isn’t obnoxious about it despite using Ryan Reynolds in their ads.

It was a front for a pill ring in that area. But it was obvious. Walk in and hte place is spotless. You could get a double meat cheeseburger with bacon a large side of fries and a can of coke for 5 bucks. We would go there at least once a week to eat. Never saw another person inside ordering food.

There was a gas station near where I used to work whose prices per gallon were almost always like 30-40 cents more expensive than everywhere else. Never any cars getting gas from them either. But they never went out of business. I have to imagine it was a front of some kind, but yeah, I ain't a snoop.
