I hope not. Just have Cody beat Roman at mania and then vacate one of the titles then next night and have a new draft

i was considering something as we get nearer to the rumble and no roman loss of one of the titles in sight. so roman has both titles. winner of the rumble gets the main event title match at wrestlemania. they want to do roman vs the rock at wrestlemania...ergo-the rock wins the rumble?

I still think WWE wants it more than anything else, but I'm not sure Rock has the time even if he'd potentially want to do it for Roman. He has 6 movies in development and his TV show and whatever is going on with the XFL.

As a singles match? No. I think Rock is going to come in because the family thinks Roman is getting out of hand after booting Solo because he stood up for Sami and we get Rock/Solo/Sami vs Roman and the Usos.

That’s why I’m convinced if he does come in it’ll be to cut some promos and work a tag match where the other guys do all the heavy lifting so he doesn’t get injured.

Unless Rock clears his schedule for like 6-12 months, it’s not happening. There’s no way any studio is going to let him wrestle whilst he is making films.

He physically is genuinely just not up for a match. His figure is for Hollywood showing off, not intense wrestling cardio or taking bumps. He'd make Goldberg or Shane look like 80s Ric Flair in terms of cardio if he actually wrestled.

He's got one film for rest of the year, 4 announced for 2023, and likely others (a third Jumanji film?) on top of that. The insurance will never let him do the match.

The Rock is 50. Yeah he's in phenomenal shape and he is a huge star but what does it accomplish. We've had roman plow through everyone including cena. Him beating the rock at mania? Not needed. Rock beating him would be a good feel good moment for casual fans but what does it accomplish? A fifty year old who was last full time 20 years ago beats the top guy for over two years? Makes that two year reign look silly.

I was in the "Yes" camp a few months ago and now I'm unsure. This Sami/Jey/Roman stuff has me wondering if we're going to get a way different Mania main event than expected. It feels like the type of slow burn stuff that would result in a Mania match. I guess Sami/KO vs. the Uso's is still the fan service match, but KO seems to be pretty occupied at the moment and it seems like KO and Gargano may become a team.

Even Tom Cruise has to back down when studio insurers tell him to, and that dude straps himself to the side of airplanes and throws himself off the tops of skyscrapers. As long as Rock has commitments in Hollywood, no studio is going to risk letting him injure himself doing an activity his body simply isn't built for any more.

If he doesn’t work the match I see maybe Bloodline vs Owens/Sami/Solo with Rock as special referee in a “who’s side is he on?” Gimmick.

Oh I read something that said he was facing Rock at Mania and thought it had been confirmed. Glad it hasn't. Yet...

Not if The Rock is smart. He's near 50, he's the biggest movie star in the world and hypothetically a presidential candidate.
Too much on his plate to bother with wrestling honestly

It wouldn’t hurt Roman one bit but neither guy especially needs it at the moment. Reigns is rolling and the studios don’t want Dwayne getting hurt before filming again.
