to me at least it feels like a concerted effort to slowly creep in hate filled ideas until they become moderately accepted, so the goalposts keep moving like what he said originally was awful but coming back from something you said that's gonna put a target on someone and saying "oopsie"? you a f***ing psychopath or something? come on Thats the thing that's really pissing me off. This is a woman who comes from a country where she could be jailed or even killed if she was what these people are claiming her to be, and his response to getting called out on that is "Oopsie"? That is just, like, who the f*** raised you? hopefully they just look the other way and she can live peacefully, i hope we get some good updates by her eventually

I really don't like to comment on anything like this especially without knowing facts.
She was supposedly born female but with male DNA.
She may produce different hormones in her body which may give her a strength advantage over other biological females because of her biology.
Most of what came out before was "She has male chromosomes so she should fight men." Then it came out she was born a female anyway. Do you punish her by making her fight men who still may be biologically stronger? Or shun her when she stomps other females? Tough subject.
If i don't have all the facts straight I'm sorry, or if anything I said was offensive I'm sorry. Im not trying to be offensive. It's just as tough decision all around.

People weren't throwing a fit about Michael Phelps having genetic advantages. It's the olympics - if a person as a biological advantage then they have a biological advantage - it's the world's stage to celebrate exceptionalism. This is not a tough decision.

She may produce different hormones in her body which may give her a strength advantage over other biological females because of her biology. None of this is a thing. There's no such thing as "male DNA", an organization that's so corrupt that the IOC dropped them as a partner has said that Khelif failed a "gender identity test" last year, which can mean a great many things, including PED use if she had elevated testosterone levels and having a disorder of sexual development, which includes being intersex/having chromosomes that don't match a person's phenotype as well as a variety of hormonal disorders. The IOC has had guidelines on testosterone levels for competitive balance for years and not chromosomal testing, because chromosomal testing doesn't really prove anything in terms of competitive balance. Also, there's no such thing as a "biological female" because human biology isn't a binary thing. It's estimated that there's as many intersex people as there are redheaded people on the planet. And if we're going to start banning people for having "genetic advantages" why allow Michael Phelps with his webbed feet and extremely large lung capacity or LeBron James for clearly being a CIA genetic experiment? She wouldn't be allowed to compete if she failed a testosterone test, which happened to many athletes with and without DSDs. If it was a serious competitive balance and safety issue, she wouldn't be a middling competitor who got lucky that her opponent had a history of broken noses and landed a good punch early in the fight. This is only an issue because her opponent yesterday threw a tantrum because she got hurt in a combat sport. Khelif is playing by the same exact rules that have barred intersex women from competition in the past, and is also from a country that is incredibly intolerant of people who aren't heteronormative to the point of imprisonment and state-sanctioned murder. I'm not directing this at you, but this whole issue is a manufactured concern meant to "other" people who don't conform to a very specific set of gender norms.

She was supposedly born female but with male DNA. She may produce different hormones in her body which may give her a strength advantage over other biological females because of her biology. Khelif was born a woman and has a uterus, passing the bar for what makes a woman according to self-appointed expert of the subject, J.K. Rowling. The IBA has claimed she failed a test, the details of which "remain confidential" that states she has XY chromosomes, and banned her from competing against other women. This decision was made solely by the IBA's CEO, who has a laundry list of corruption scandals, resulting in the IBA being banned from any involvement in the Olympics. Khelif has passed all the required tests for Olympic eligibility. Or shun her when she stomps other females? Tough subject. She hasn't stomped anybody in her entire career. She has won 42 og her 51 fights, of which only six were by KO. Her opponent also pulled a similar stunt at the Tokyo Olympics – while on the wrong end of a beating she "injured" her ankle and forfeited the fight rather than take the legitimate loss.

I for one believe that asking questions should come after a baseline engagement with reality and facts, it's a good way to avoid being offensive by having the story straight in the first place.

If i don't have all the facts straight I'm sorry, or if anything I said was offensive I'm sorry. Im not trying to be offensive. Well it's the internet, being offensive is kinda inevitable, depending on who is offended by it, even if we have no such intentions of offending anyone. It is hatred that we avoid the most. Which is harder than being offensive.

I mean, yeah. But that's not the reality we live in, and there are a lot of people who don't understand the issue or even how to look deeper into the issue but can be educated. I had a conversation with a bunch of my family last year, they started out saying the most stereotypical transphobic shit but after some shrooms and a productive conversation they realized how wrong they were. The issue is that we're 3 generations of bigots in who realized that they can say very similar things to people who just don't know better and are allowed to set the messaging of almost every single issue, so figuring out who's a victim of ignorance and a lack of experience but wants to mean well and the hateful assholes who abuse their ignorance is harder than it should be.

Sure, trust the word of a sanctioning body that is apparently so corrupt that boxing is on the verge of being off the card entirely in Los Angeles 2028 if they don’t get their shit together, over a body that, while the IOC aren’t perfect angels themselves, have to do their checks and balances because they have one of the biggest images in the world to protect. All over a woman just trying to do sport. F***s sake.

LeBron in Cleveland was not a CIA genetic experiment, he won through the power of friendship and having to live in Ohio. it made him stronger like one punch man. it is only when he joined the Lakers and to a lesser degree the Miami Heat where I think he was a government created entity simply because I don't like either of those teams

I know I probably give a bit less leash than I should with these things, especially when it could be my own safety and happiness on the line but I have had conversations that legit made people think differently when it comes to this and they just have a moment where they're like "oh shit we are the baddies". not through just wanting me to shut up or anything like that, just explaining how things are. like at the end of the day, I truly believe that most people if they really think about it wouldn't have beliefs like this. once you delve deeper into your own psyche, past of any bigotry or misguided beliefs, you have an individual who is stuck in the body that they were not supposed to be in a fair world. imagine that is your brother or sister who know they are your brother or sister, know they have an extremely dangerous and painful road ahead of them but are still adamant that they must be who they are. that should be applauded, bravery like that should at the very least not deserve tomato throwing and these are people we should be supporting. think about your daily struggles and add on the feeling of being stuck in the body that isn't you, imagine that happening to your family member and without this all having been politicized for grifter/monetary gain, all of us would be trying to help them out. they feel they owe it to themselves to make it happen, the least people can do is let them.

Khelif only got banned by the IBF after beating a Russian competitor, she was allowed to compete in their events until last year when she randomly failed an undisclosed test. It can't be understated how shitty of an organization you have to be for the IOC to cut you off twice.

Bless you for putting yourself out there like that, especially when it is literally a basic safety issue for just being who you are. It really is, much like every other form of bigotry, rooted in terrible people taking advantage of ignorance and a lack of opportunity to learn. And a lot of people don't even know how offensive they're being because they're so ignorant of the base issues due to a lack of exposure. My parents still accidentally do a bigotry from time to time, and they used to hang out at drag shows with Tim Gunn in the 80s. MY professional specialty is messaging these types of issues for areas that you wouldn't expect them to get traction in, and I get beat down by it despite me looking and sounding like a late-era cast member of Jersey Shore. It's hard work, but so is everything else worth fighting for. The one time the USA didn't win the gold was during his first Cleveland run, where was the power of friendship then? Did Larry Brown bury it in the Acropolis? Larry Brown's bad juju from yelling at Darko finally came back to haunt him, like a spooky ghost with one and a half post moves Lmao like Darko, even in spirit form, would have the work ethic to haunt anyone.
