Gatorade doesn't have a transphobe who doubled down on his views as the face of their brand, either, so there's that on top of the rapid fire lawsuits for this drink. Sure I was talking about the lawsuit aspect. Even then "I'm sure Gatorade has some lawsuits too" doesn't really equate to the fact PRIME has had like three in rapid succession and one is from the literal Olympics... like I'm sure energy drinks get lawsuits of different caliber's all the time, but that doesn't exactly mean PRIME's are absolved due to that, and are only amplified being attached to Logan, who also is dealing with OTHER lawsuits.

I was just saying it’s not unique to Prime. Just google “lawsuits against Gatorade” and you’ll see a few different recent cases against them in the news.

There are, but in fairness, I do think they're a bit different in nature. I counted two class action suits related to the nutritional value or marketing of their products, and one with an athlete claiming their product was tainted with banned substances and caused him to fail a doping test. The sorts of things I'd expect to see for a major company in this zone. Prime, by contrast, is being sued over IP violations and failing to pay suppliers and business partners. One can expect lawsuits in America, but it does feel worth drawing a distinction between the nature of the lawsuits, Gatorade being gone after for being a big business, and Prime being gone after for doing bad business. I know WWE isn't gonna pull out of the deal and I'm sure Logan isn't going to f*** WWE on payment unless something goes sideways because he knows how that'd end for him, but WWE is definitely standing right now by a brand that is gaining a very negative image, where I don't think Gatorade is really being dragged over the coals in the court of public opinion because Gatorade Fit doesn't have enough vitamin A to legally label itself as 'healthy' in California.

There’s definitely a better public image associated with Gatorade, but they’ve also dealt with IP litigation before over some of their product lines, packaging and slogans.

You bring up a really solid point about the distinction in the nature of the lawsuits. Gatorade’s issues are more along the lines of typical business headaches...nutritional value disputes or an athlete claiming tainted product, which is kind of par for the course with big companies. It’s the kind of stuff people expect, but not necessarily something that damages the brand’s reputation at its core. Prime, on the other hand, seems to be tangled up in more serious issues like IP violations and not paying suppliers, which feels like a different level of scrutiny. It’s less “big business vs. consumers” and more about questionable business practices.
It’s definitely interesting that WWE is sticking by Prime despite this growing negative image. Paul isn’t likely to mess with WWE financially because he knows that would blow up in his face. But still, it’s worth thinking about how much longer WWE can afford to associate with a brand that's getting dragged for this kind of stuff, especially when they’ve been so image-conscious in recent years.

This dude is on a legendary run of awful behavior. Yeh it started on April 1, 1995 Do you feel old knowing that Logan Paul was born on the day Lawrence Taylor defeated Bam Bam Bigelow at WrestleMania XI?

How this cancerous piece of shit is still employed, let alone, was given employment in the first place is beyond me. I don't care what he brings to the table or how good of a fit he might be as a heel, the guy is toxic as f*** and is not the kind of guy who deserves to be rewarded with the kind of recognition & push WWE has given him.
Not surprised at how he responded to being called out on his harassment on Khelif in a juvenile manner while doubling down on his transphobic bullshit. People like him make me sick.

Given the nature of the Prime deal I'm guessing that it lasts for a set period of time, probably bare minimum two or three years, and thus they can't just drop it even with the increasingly toxic nature of the brand.

Yeah, that's probably the case. Once those deals are locked in, they usually run for a good while, even if things start going south. Companies aren't just going to walk away from a multi-year contract unless things get really bad. We’ll probably see them ride it out until the end of the deal, then maybe reassess based on how the brand’s doing at that point.

With all due respect to your opinions about Logan Paul the person, I gotta say, damn those Prime drinks are seriously good. My work office cubicle is basically about to turn into one of those Prime hydration stations you see on SmackDown. I used to be big into Gatorade and Powerade, but honestly, Prime is on another level for me. Maybe it's the same sports drink craving but without that specific aftertaste I'd get from a Powerade or Gatorade. Plus, I could never really get into Vitamin Water, so this has been a nice switch-up. Yeah well, in the long term I’m probably rotting my insides.

That lady is now in an Olympic final and she's having to try real hard to have her actual accomplishment outweigh the fact that she's getting endless harassment because of some crypto scamming asshole and a miserable children's author who lives in a castle with a black mold infestation are harassing her personally for literally no reason. It's awful seeing shit like this unfold, and unfortunately, it's a consequence of transphobia running rampant and not just allowed, but encouraged. It goes beyond trans people being targeted, but any woman who appears to be "suspect" based on gendered stereotypes of what people think a woman is.

I carpool to my night shifts three nights per week, and my pick-up is at a local gas station. I usually get a couple of drinks to take to work, and quite often Prime is the only thing left in stock that late at night (it seems the sales bubble has burst in the U.K.). I will admit the strawberry lemonade flavour is pretty good, though I still won't buy it if other options are available.

That's my favorite flavor besides Meta Moon (white bottle). Now, one thing I could never get into was engergy drinks like Red Bull, Monster, or even those 5 hour energy shots. If I am in dire need for a pick me up and passing through a gas station, I'll take regular coffee anyday over that. I am in my 40s and I remember, I want to say about 10-15 years ago the trend in bars, especially college bars with energy drink mixed with alcohol. That was the most disgusting shit I ever heard of. This may have been before 4 Loko became popularized. I don't go to bars much anymore, so I am not sure if energy drink spiked with a shot is still a thing. What are the young crowds into nowadays? P.S. If you are old enough like me, you probably remember the Flaming Dr. Pepper.

I never tried Prime before the partnership with WWE, but one day I saw that it was on sale at the local grocery store and thought, why not? They’ve grown on me since then, to the point that I’ll pick some up every time I go shopping. I think I’ve tried most of the flavors and I liked them all. I even saved the special WWE x Prime bottle that came out recently. I just wish they came in bigger bottles, like Gatorade and Powerade. To be clear, I’m buying Prime Hydration (non-caffeinated versions).

I know here in Canada, not long after mixing energy drinks with alcohol became a thing, they made it so bars were no longer able to serve it due to the conflicting natures of the beverages and the effects it could have on the body. However, they are allowed to serve you an energy drink and alcohol separately and if you happen to mix them yourself, there's nothing they can or will do. That said, I'm close to your age, so I have no idea if this is still a thing the kids do.
