Tyson's a pain because you have to survive the first part of the fight and hope you get in enough offense to even scratch the guy.
I loved Super Punchout!, but all of the characters were a lot easier to beat, including the Brusier Brothers.

Mike Tyson.
I have never gotten that pissed off at a game before in my life. I did eventually beat him though ;D but it was very time consuming and aggravating to say the least.
Once you get his pattern down he becomes easier...but just make one mistake and you're doomed pretty much.

I never messed with Super Punch Out that much, but Mike Tyson is still the baddest man on the planet.

The Bruisers were surprisingly easy. Rick is actually slightly tougher than Nick.
But the answer is Tyson. Even with Game Genie I can't beat him.

Original Mr. Sandman. His stepping would invariably bust up your rhythm. SNES pugilists shouldn't count. That game disgraced it's predecessor with it's easiness. I AM A KILLER! I AM THE BEAR HUGGER!

I agree, as I (pathetically) had nearly everyone beaten in the SNES game in under a minute (except the ones it was impossible because of how they were designed). I wouldn't call it a disgrace, but it's difficulty is non-existant after you play through it once. On the flip side, Mike Tyson's Punchout was the first NES game I owned and I've beaten Iron Mike a total of three times in about 18 years (through NES, ROM, and now Wii form.....despite him being bastardized into Mr. Dream).

'Fraid your list doesn't have my two worst enemies.
Punch Out: Super Macho Man. Super Punch Out: Aran Ryan.
I've never defeated either of them.

I will say this. On Super Punch Out, Hoi Quarlow gave me more trouble than anyone else initially. I don't care if he's old, what self respecting boxing promotion lets someone use a staff for chrissakes? But in the end, Punchout = patterns = trial and error = eventual success.

What could be tougher than a TKO from Tokyo? The first time you fight him, nope. The second time, maybe.

What could be tougher than a TKO from Tokyo? Don Flamenco? (Second time only, because he's a little bitch then.) That said, I don't think I've even gotten past Soda Popinski in the original. Never beat Super Macho Man with the password, either.
