They got a nice return pop, but I wonder if that can last. I find them and FTR incredibly boring and didn't care if I saw either back in WWE again. I think the WWE is stockpiling wrestlers too much again. The WWE definitely needs to get one of the tag belts off the Usos.

Well Good Brothers are booked for Crown Jewell which is the same day Karl Anderson was supposed to defend the NEVER title for New Japan.
Not a good look for Anderson or WWE

The New Japan President has made comments about ensuring the advertised matches take place so reading into that, it seems like they're not thrilled with the booking.

Yeah since my post Karl Anderson said they never contacted him about the date and just booked the match so he won’t be there.

He’s not a contracted talent so I assume he has to be directly booked for each show, instead of them making a card with him on it and assuming he’ll be there. Unless they did book him and he’s lying.

Karl has also been a sleazy liar the past few years so I don't have much faith in him. That being said, it's on New Japan for putting the belt on a guy without a contract.

Yeah, if NJPW never actually had a contract for the guy and gave him the NEVER Championship, that's pretty stupid. They should've stripped him of the title immediately after he made his first WWE appearance. I'm guessing there was a handshake agreement in place, but Karl is also a carny so. Karl still looks pretty scummy in all this, though, and I wouldn't put it past him lying about the situation. And one of the few things I actually respected about Vince McMahon is that he generally made new/returning talents commit to previously booked appearances before starting with WWE. Triple H doesn't seem as beholden to that code of honor (for lack of a better term).

But yes, obviously, if he doesn't make the defense, strip him, that's what they've done for others who couldn't defend due to illness, weather, etc. This is honestly not that special outside of the WWE aspect.

I hope this means we finally get Season 3 of Southpaw >_> I mean to do what they had planned I Guess they'd have to get Dango (And wait for Cena to become available) but... still

For all we know he asked Karl about it when rehiring him and was told that there were no bookings scheduled. Then nJPW booked Karl for this show without checking with him or WWE. H may be perfectly willing to honor already scheduled bookings or work with them to send Karl to drop the title. But he has no obligation when they just schedule without notice.

Tyler's still somewhat in that bubble though with still appearing on UUDD regularly, and was basically one of Hunter's original boys. there's also people on the roster that could take hte place and work if they let them riff... but I do think a lot of it falls apart without Lance Catamaran as the straight man.

Anderson is apparently booked to defend the belt on the December 14th NJPW show.
