I'm sick of movies about Batman's origin or when he's an old man. Show me Batman and the Batfamily, in their prime, fighting crime. It's an easy formula. Yeah, give me disgruntled Batdad ... >_> it is one reason I was kinda looking forward to Batgirl (Besides well really liking hte character) was that Batman wouldn't be the brooding loner for once... (Even if he would also be older Bruce.) also I don't need to see those god damned pearls ever again.

For me, the best Batman vs. Superman fights are the ones that occur after they've been friends and the World's Finest for a few years/decades and there's an emotional beat to them having to fight. Pitting them against each other because Batman was a dumbass who was manipulated by Lex Luthor was a bad idea from the start. Then again, I don't like the Dark Knight Returns either so the Batman of BVS was never going to be for me.
I'd love to see the Batfamily done right. It seems such a no-brainer, too. You can easily spin off into Nightwing and Red Hood movies (for example) and have them be completely different in tone and setting from the mainline Batman ones.

Reasons I think they don't want to do movies about the Bat-family (most I don't agree with, but I will say them) -Connective nostalgia for both 89 Batman and the Begins/Dark Knight movies having Batman be the lone vigilante figure -Not wanting to "glorify child soldiers" with the thought of Robin, who would be the one to kick this all off. -Robin, in their minds, being seen more with Teen Titans (even Go, yes) as leader instead of Batman's sidekick -The problem with the actors aging (any Robin, Batgirl, etc) -The failure in studio eyes of how, aside from the LEGO Batman movie, big budget Batman movies did when Robin and others were introduced (the Schumacher films)
Not agreeing with these views, but thinking this is what they are.

Forever made more money than Returns did. Aye. Returns took $266 million at the box office, which was a bitter disappointment for the studio and led to Burton being moved to a producer's role for Forever, which took $336 million.

The Bat-Family humanizes Bruce. While I wouldn't start out a movie with the Bat-family, it's a nice thing to introduce in a second or third movie as it's a great vehicle for character development.
Like one of the most touching comic moments for Batman recently was in Detective Comics (I think it was Issue #1000?) where the story is about the senior members of the Bat-Family gathering the entire gang for a group photo. Then Bruce is the last to arrive, is initially resistant to taking the photo, but is convinced to participate. End of the story is Batman visiting Thomas and Martha Wayne's graves and leaving the photo on their tombstones, symbolizing he's finally found the family he was missing since they were killed by Joe Chill all those years ago.

Pretty classy way of saying that all the spammed hashtags in the world won't make a difference this time.

Legends of Tomorrow is out of his hands anyway. CW cancelled it because their new ownership makes David Zaslav look like he's a big spender by comparison.

One group is conspicuously absent in that list. I'm leaning heavily towards Gunn offering Snyder the chance to finish his story in animated form. Gunn's got no love for the cultists, but his is friends with Snyder and publicly supported him. A live-action continuation would be far too expensive for the limited audience it would satisfy (not to mention the unlikelihood of Affleck committing to two more full appearances), but releasing a series of animated movies would at least give them a chance of turning a profit.

Honestly, pretty sure what was said basically "we're moving on." to basically everything "Our initial focus" suggests the door is being left ever so slightly ajar. Snyder's tied up with Netflix for the next few years anyway, so it's not as if any potential return in any form is going to be in the immediate planning. There is money to be milked from Snyder's fanbase. Not a massive amount, but probably enough to justify working with him again under very strict budgetary restrictions.

I hope that one day, we get a documentary about his tenure and it's called 'The Gunn Show'.

Even under budgetary restrictions I would never consider hiring Snyder. He has shown that he cannot take instruction. He was told what the studio wanted out of JL and he proceeded to do what he wanted. When he was given another chance he was told no Green Lantern. And he went and wasted WBs money on a Green Lantern scene. He wants to be totally committed to his vision then fine. Let him work on his own projects and be someone elses headache.
