Anybody else a fan?
As a kid I loved these guys and even now going back and watching these guys, they're a ton of fun.
So I was wondering if anyone else was a fan?

Their match against Cactus Jack and Max Pain was friggin great! And I liked their feud with the Steiner Brothers. I enjoyed watching the look of fear on Knobbs face whenever he was in over his head, like when LOD were slapping them around.

They really started out hot. The run with the Steiners was great and things basically ran positively until they were brawling with Public Enemy on Nitro. I just remember one of the Nastys hitting one of PE with a board that kept breaking until only a small piece remained. Then as PE were heading to the back, the Nasty Boy with the board ran up to the ropes, and chucked the last piece, which clocked a PE in the back of the head. It was one of the funniest things I’ve seen that no one talks about.

Never really cared for them. They were only ever interesting when they were up against teams like the Steiners that weren’t going to take their shit and were going to rough them up, otherwise they would just bully their opponents.

I feel like they could have been utilized more in the WWF. But that said their run wasn't all that long really. In hindsight they may have been best of staying heel in 1993 with The Steiners coming in.

They may get a lot of flack these days, but I as kid enjoyed there initial wcw and wwf runs. Heck I still have the hasbro action figures somewhere.

One of those teams that didn't do anything for me if they were facing schlubs who they'd just steamroll, but they'd hang well with teams that could scrap with them.

They were super over, I'll give them that
I'm sure they were good in there time
From here, they seem like garbage wrestlers who were garbage to work with
Maybe they have some great earlier reputation that I don't know about but I think if they had started a few years later, they'd have been putting Public Enemy over in ECW rather than rubbing shoulders with the big boys in the big promotions

I never liked them.
The only time I enjoyed them was the 'hardcore' matches against Public Enemy in WCW, and a big part of that was Tony, Bobby, and Dusty just shitting themselves on commentary.

I can't say I was ever a huge fan, but they did have some of the best brawls of their era as well. I went into most Nasty Boys matches not expecting much, but then from time to time they'd sneak in a gem. Though I will say that when I did a deep rewatch of 90s wrestling years ago, I was surprised at how much better they were than I remembered. So I guess I'll say they aren't one of my favorite teams, but they were solid to very good when working with the right opponents and much better than they're probably remembered.
And as a kid the Nasty Boys and Harlem Heat was one of my favorite feuds, but I rooted for Harlem Heat. Harlem Heat were probably the first heels I rooted for as a kid.

I'm genuinely startled to see a thread with this much positivity for them, truthfully. But more power to those who like fandom bête noires.
I'm... not one of them, though. They were kinda okay except that they came in and very quickly won the titles off of the Hart Foundation, which is a level they didn't feel right playing in. They were Bebop and Rocksteady, not top guys - playing with the Bushwhackers seemed much more on their level than trying to take them seriously as threats to the Legion of Doom. And when they predictably lost the titles, that's pretty much what they did do afterwards.
I'm only basing this assessment on their WWF body of work, though.

They were great in wild brawls and hard hitting matches. The Halloween Havoc match against the Steiner's is great because they just beat the f out of each other. Had the LOD match at SummerSlam been like that it would have been so much better then what we got. I didn't care about them in WWF after they lost the belts, they were just another team. They were able to get back to brawling & what they did well in WCW so I enjoyed them more there.

I'm not gonna lie, my most prominent memory of the Nasty Boys is their inexplicable 2010 TNA run. In particular, I remember Brian Knobbs somehow getting gassed while cutting a promo.
Wait, actually that's my second-most prominent memory of them. My most prominent memory of them is a picture New Jack had on his Twitter of Knobbs recreating Goatse.

Could not stand em. Would have been ok with them as a lower card act, but as a threat to Demolition, Hart Foundation etc I just never bought it

After what they did to Ken Shamrock, they're both pieces of shit.

Their match with the Blue Bloods at Great American Bash '95 had one of the most underated calls of Bobby Heenan's career.
*One of the Nasties atomic drops Eaton onto a steel chair*
Bobby: Have a seat!
Tony: ... That's not funny.

I actually don't hate the Nasty Boys as wrestlers, I actually quite like their look and gimmick, they're kind of a cartoon of eighties/nineties heel wrestlers, but I mean that in a positive way.
Pair of absolute bellends, though. Which is probably why they were so convincing as a pair of absolute bellends on television.
