Summerslam would've been in Washington DC then. I think Bret put forward losing to Davey Boy if it happened in the UK, or lose to Shawn Michaels if it was DC.
Hogan would've convinced Vince to stay stateside.

Hogan claims in his first autobiography that he was there at SSlam 92. He may have been backstage but he may also be misremembering. Also, with this being Hogan, I think it won’t surprise me if he says he wrestled at SSlam 92. We all know Hulk NEVER lies. One thing that I think disproves Hogan being at Summerslam was the list of people that WWF brought in for the event-everyone from the main eventers to guys whose matches didn't make the PPV to the legends like Larry Hennig who obviously wasn't on the roster but it was a special event. If Hogan had made an appearance no way he goes without having WWF pay and if WWF was paying him to come they would definitely have him make an appearance on the show. But I feel like a huge gap in time took place between Wrestlemania to Summerslam and he would have been out of place, even Piper seemed out of place.

It’s already remembered as a historic show but if WWE had got Hogan v Flair for the show man that would have put it over the top. Knowing Hogan that probably wouldn’t have worked for him and he would rather squash Nailz or Papa Shango. Thinking about it yeah his opponent would have probably been Shango. I'd like to get on the record what a crime it was that we were denied a proper Hogan-Shango feud. Just imagine Hogan's acting performances when his boots caught on fire ‘GAH! IT’S NOT COLD!’

I believe even though he was laying low, I do think they wanted him back at that point so they were probably hopeful he would be apart of the show.

Hogan I think would’ve been a better surprise replacing Warrior at Survivor Series 92 no offense to Perfect But would he have that match against Bret Hart at the Rumble?
