Is that, at this current point, there is nothing that Miz could have possibly done that would justify what Lumis and Gargano have done to him.
The thing about The Miz is, despite being a heel for most of his career, he……really isn’t very evil.
Sure, he cheats whenever he can and he’s kind of a dick to people, but in the grand moral hierarchy of WWE Superstars, his actual crimes are minimal.
Probably the worst thing he’s ever done is when he and R-Truth assaulted Cena, Del Rio and Punk at Hell in a Cell, and if the worst thing you’ve done is also the worst thing R-TRUTH has done, you’re not that bad a guy.
So, with the current storyline, there are three possibilities.
1. Miz did something that is kinda dickish, but wouldn’t justify months of attacks and abuse.
2. Miz did something that would be so horrible that, not only would be out of character for the kind of heel Miz is, but also makes Gargano and Lumis jerks for not just reporting Miz to the police or something.
3. Miz did nothing wrong actually and The Way are just being douchebags.
After tonight, 3 is looking like a real possibility, but I can’t think of anything he could possibly be guilty of that would make sense as a part of this storyline.

The thing about the Miz is that he's just such a natural douche, I can't have a problem with him being tormented. He deserves it just for being himself. I want to find out that this is all about the Miz parking in his parking spot or some other insignificant action. Sure Lumis is over-reacting and taking things too far, but it's against the Miz, so well played Mr. Lumis, carry on.

I think it's running on, "Haha, it's funny, he keeps talking about his balls, don't take it too seriously!" logic, but it's kind of having the Trix Rabbit problem where the joke has beyond worn thin and now it's just a guy who's kind of a jerk being endlessly tormented by way bigger jerks and you're supposed to enjoy it for some reason.

It feels like it's one of those story lines they started without having any idea where it was even going to go, which is the reason why it's dragging on and on without any progression because they still have no idea what story their even trying to tell.

I mean they could just say that Miz got Lumis fired. They already established that Miz has pull in the company, he got Mandy Rose traded to Raw to break her and Otis up.
All they would have to do is come up with a reason for him wanting Lumis fired, and Miz is petty enough that it could easily be that he was watching NXT with his family and Lumis scared his kids. Miz makes a call and gets Lumis fired.

I know it would complicate things given that he’s got a show with Maryse, but I keep thinking they’re gonna make it something about Miz texting Indi. It might not be inappropriate but just him texting her could seem justifiable enough for her psycho boyfriend to retaliate.

I could see them doing something like saying how Miz crushes dreams like he did to Otis, but that was ages ago and he hasn't been involved since. That's probably the kayfabe worst thing he's ever really done, so that's all I've got.

I've got this long running fanfic involving Mike and Maryse's marriage being reality-TV fake more than anything, and I had wrote a chapter where he slipped and confessed to Ciampa just before Gargano returned, then Ciampa disappeared and now Gargano is nagging Mike to reveal his secret and saying he's been texting Ciampa and I'm looking at my story like "...what is even happening".

My guess is he promised Indi either a role in a movie or a call up to Raw, in exchange for her help with something. She held up her end of the deal, and Miz screwed her over.

I'd agree there. He was an over act in NXT so they bring him back and he got a decent reaction for a few weeks (and the segments were good) but they just haven't progressed anything. It felt like "let's do this to create a pop and get buzz. Okay we got some buzz, now what?" |

Feels like that would take some real explaining, because surely something like that would conflict with the story between Miz and his dad. |
