With the tag teams they've lost to injury and other circumstances lately, I get wanting them as a solid midcard tag team that can work either AEW or ROH. Any one of them on their own isn't worth it but they're fine as a unit.

The upside to this is that Maria has a great mind for the business. She was a big part of ROH's excellent Women's tournament in 2021.
Unfortunately, it also means her husband and Taven are part of the package.

Why folks don’t like The Kingdom? I thought they were a fun act back in the day. Especially in a company where they can lean into not being a team that prioritizes great matches versus just getting the dub.

A perfectly good tag team that's easy to dunk on is a worthwhile cost if Maria was as much a part of the ROH women's booking as she was made out to be.

I know the general consensus is that Mike Bennett is more bland than an unsalted cracker but I actually like the dude and think he deserves a shot on the big stage. I feel like WWE could have taken his story of having to turn his life around and gotten one hell of a babyface out of it. Taven on the other hand. Nah, I’m good.

I hadn't seen Taven ever and Mike or Maria in years.
They're all worth the cost for having a woman who can cut a promo on the roster. The women's roster need role models and advocacy

Honor No More was wasted potential, they had buzz in their first months then spent the time losing a lot of matches until Edwards turned heel and tried to make them relevant but only PCO was over.

I think people have never gotten over Taven's 2019 win at MSG, and haven't gotten over how bad Bennett's run in WWE was. I also think they're fine as a unit, and it won't be shocking if they're used in the new ROH as they ramp up towards the likely streaming show they're gonna have soon. |

For me, they were fine as Cole's lackeys. Fine as a tag team too. But between Mike's continued failed singles runs everywhere he's been and Taven just the least interesting inoffensive wrestler, they are just there for me. I imagine Fish isn't coming back and O'Reilly is shelved for a minute, so this will be Cole's group to feud with the Elite when they're all back. |
