I haven’t watched in a while. Rowe looks way out of shape. Also hyping up the least over member of the Riott Squad’s return to manage her husbands loser ass tag team was certainly an idea. She hasn’t been an active wrestler since she was released from WWE two years ago. I think he had a baby in that timeframe, but the only two matches she’s listed on Cagematch as working in since being released… One was the Royal Rumble this year, and the other was for goddamn Control Your Narrative. So yeah, it’s not out of school to say she’s probably not in peak condition here. She's as cooked as her reputation then. I know the Raiders were two of Hunter's guys in the old NXT days... but boy this repackaging hasn't worked, and this is simply making it worse.

WWE have been getting more and more shameless about ripping off indie workers I can't wait until they give us Azeezhausen.

Rhea needs to make her sub dress as Dom Haradudu to face Ax the Stabber in a completely original match.

Between her controversial views, being out of shape, not wrestling at all since she was released over two years ago sans a brief Rumble cameo, and not being overly impressive the last time around I really don't get the point of bringing her back at all. Unless Erik just constantly kept nagging Triple H until he finally got sick of it. It really feels like Triple H is literally going to hire back every one that was released in the last five years that isn't currently signed somewhere else no matter how little value they actually have.

I wouldn't even pitch putting her brain in a robot spider body.
Robot spiders are too good for bigots.

The only good thing about this is it's getting more attention to Max the Impaler, who is the better and cooler version of whatever the f*** this was Someone please book them to a higher capacity. They've gotten some AEW DARK Matches, would love to see them become a staple in the future with Heidi and Abadon, a really standout group they'd be. In any case yeah, decisions like this show HHH isn't really gonna fix much of anything worthwhile, I'm half expecting to see Gunner show back up at this rate. I suppose not impossible. Max and Abadon are friends, both are dear friends of Heidi's, and obviously, the aesthetics mesh well. So... who knows. If nothing else, I do hope Max gets an ROH contract, perhaps. I know they were already doing well there when its fate was uncertain.

It does make me wonder. I know she clearly has some friends backstage, like Liv is fond of her, but I wonder if the main goal is placating and motivating Erik. While WWE has never gotten the most out of the team, I question if Triple H thinks the two just need some hook and that they'll catch on like they did in ROH and NJPW. I have my doubts, frankly, but I get that WWE's tag team division has been pretty meager and it's probably seen as a low risk. I doubt Sarah's making a ton of money on this, so if it fails, they can just toss her again, and if it doesn't, then Triple H can maybe wring something out of this tag team.

A lot of their problem is staying healthy as both have spent a lot of time on the shelf during their tenure and as a result they've never really been able to maintain momentum long. When it comes to the tag division in general I think it just needs a refreshening. A lot of the teams have been together for a very long time and feel really stale. The Usos have been around over a decade, New Day close to a decade, Viking Raiders around five years, Street Profits around three years, Gallows and Anderson even with a two and a half year break were still a team on WWE TV a long stretch from 2016 to 2020. They need a new team who can be a major force in the division. I think the Creed Brothers can definitely be that whenever they get called up. However it seems like they are already wanting to push Julius as a big star on his own so who knows with them.

True. Although I do remember that making a little bit of a comeback after Mania this year with Liv and Rhea, Zelina and Carmella, Corbin and Moss, and probably a few others I'm forgetting all breaking up in like a two week span. With Triple H in charge I'm pretty sure those days are over as he seems to be someone who is a firm believer of having long term tag teams. Which is fine however at the same time I don't think it's the worst thing to break teams up if there's really nothing left for them creatively (looking at you New Day).

Alpha Academy has been a solid addition, and Riddle/Orton was doing well before Orton got shelved, but yes, they could use some depth, both with a major force like you mention, and probably a couple of minor teams to put over the other ones, including said major force.

It really feels like Triple H is literally going to hire back every one that was released in the last five years that isn't currently signed somewhere else no matter how little value they actually have. Daddy Vince threw all HHH's toys away. And now he's searching eBay to buy them back. The only reason he hasn't brought back someone like Bobby Fish is because he's worthless without the entire UE set.

I know that WWE wants to do commercial tie-ins but bringing in Hellblade characters for TV does feel like a bit much.

Like, with so many of these re-hires, people like Strowman, Kross, Hit Row and Logan, there’s been a lot of questioning why they were rehired, but at the same time I don’t recall there being any real happiness in them being fired in the place. That was only reserved for the Velveteen Dreams and Lars Sullivans of the world. Must be one of those odd human things where we’re like… It’s easier to say “I don’t like them giving you a job” over “I like them taking your job away”?

Must be one of those odd human things where we’re like… It’s easier to say “I don’t like them giving you a job” over “I like them taking your job away”? The conditions of their firing were just overall conducive to sympathy; they were released in chunks of sometimes over a dozen at a time during a period of relentless, bullshit cost-cutting from a company posting record profits. Strowman was an absolute dipshit and a lot of his dipshittery started before he was released from WWE. But he was also a man who got cut for 'budget reasons' days after being in a title match. It was weird, and that weirdness took a much bigger front seat, alongside sympathy for the wave of people who were cut. It's a different story when Strowman goes out into the wild and proved he contributed overall very little to the wider wrestling world and that he wasn't necessarily "needed". Logan required you to read between lines and know what a 'boogaloo' means to internet racists. Kross and Hit Row aren't even out, vocal idiots/bigots; Kross was an overpushed cornball and Hit Row are just kinda shite without Swerve. There's no reason to cheer for those peoples' suffering or loss of employment, but that doesn't mean they provide something and needed to come back. Like, yeah, that sort of vitriol and "oh, thank f***, they're gone" would be for accused sex creeps and public bigots. I feel like that's peoples' morality somewhat normally; if you lose your job for 'budget cuts' and dumb reasons, you get sympathy. If you lose your job because of the laundry list of offenses Velveteen Dream has been accused of, you're more 'deserving' of that punishment.

There was definitely some happiness when Strowman got released, mostly due to his comments insulting Indie wrestlers who were struggling to make ends meet during the pandemic.
