Well I guess at least on the bright side nobody can now make the criticism of Vince not seeing a movie since the 70's when talking about how out of touch with pop culture he is. Tobey Macguire and Kristen Dunst as a redhead made him get out of his bubble and go to the movie theatre. Who would've ever thought?

I just wanna know how Vince reacted when Randy Savage appeared. I would bet $100 that Savage was actually the reason he went to see the movie. Someone probably told him Macho Man was in this huge blockbuster and Vince had to see for himself. Side note: I wonder how Hogan feels about Savage having a memorable role in a film that made a zillion times more than anything Hogan was ever in. |

Eh, being fair adjusting for inflation Rocky 3 was almost as big and has probably had even more cultural staying power. |

Side note: I wonder how Hogan feels about Savage having a memorable role in a film that made a zillion times more than anything Hogan was ever in. I doubt he really cares because the movie was a blockbuster in spite of Randy being in it. I would even wager that some people that were aware of who Randy Savage was didn't know that was Randy Savage. Point being, almost everyone who walked out of the movie wasn't talking about Savage's performance, there was about a hundred other things that people were likely referencing. Going back to Hogan, outside of maybe wanting the role for himself, I doubt he held any serious grudge about it since he considered Randy more of a friend than Randy considered of Hogan. It was a novelty throw away role that likely wasn't going to lead to other things the way a Guardians of the Galaxy or a Rocky III would. |

I mean, Taker hung Bossman from the roof and the Brood were on the roof…they repelled down, like, well Spider-Man, kinda sorta. Edge got bounced off the scoreboard on his way back up. |

Spiderman was a huge hit and at the time Hogan & Savage had major issues between them (the film was released the year before Savage's "be a man".) so it's possible Hogan's ego took a bit of a hit over Savage having the role, even if it was only a bit part, a lot of people would be jealous if their former friend/co-worker was being successful at something you had tried and not had a lot success at (hogan's acting roles didn't exactly set the world on fire.) he is only human. and Hogan has a massive ego. Also Hogan would have said something by now if he had auditioned or been approached for the role of Bonesaw (like the George Forman grill, being asked to be bassist for Metallica and so many other claims.) same for any other massive hit role, even Hogan himself knows any claim he makes about being considered for tony stark/hulk/etc would be ridiculed for the blatant bullshit it is. |
