I presume this is going to be Pennywise's previous exploits in Derry? I can't see them using some of the interludes from the book though.

I bet the fire at the mill or factory or whatever it was will be a key moment if not the climax of the series.
Figures crossed for a episode that shows IT crashing on Earth and eating dinosaurs, mammoths, Arby's or whatever.

Can see them maybe showing the fire at the Black Spot or the factory explosion and show the terror during that time. Be kind of weird since any protagonists you see you know won't have an entirely happy ending.

Interested to see this, remember the first film coming out and thinking there'd definitely be tons of room for the stuff that didnt make it to either film or the 1990 show

Now with the second movie seen as a failure I dont see a demand for this. Maybe lead into a reboot.

Next show will be a prequel to "Stand by Me", following the misadventures of a dead body. Who cares about the kids?

Since horror origin stories are the cool new thing now apparently I can't wait for the Rosemary's Baby prequel where we see when Satan hit puberty.

Normally, prequels for horror stuff are unnecessary to me, but while I don't feel like I HAVE to have this, it's also kind of a natural fit. The entire premise is that IT keeps initiating this cycle of terror in this town, feeding on fear during periods of activity, and that people forget again when it slows down or if they move away, only for it to begin anew.

I loved the movies so sure. As long as Skarsgard's back.

I am all for this. There are so many interesting places you can go with Pennywise and the history of Derry so this feels like a cool concept that you can get a lot of mileage from.
