What are some secondary minor 80's movie antagonists that deserved some development, some redemption, some kind of happy ending, either through circumstances or being the lesser of evils.
While I wouldn't call her an antagonist, I do think Penelope Witherspoon from Trading Places deserved some sort of happy resolution. She was used and toyed with emotionally by the villains through out the movie, and I do think she is not as bad as the other rich snobs in the movie. In that tennis club scene when all of Louis friend turn their back on him and are jerks, she is legit hurt and not really snobby, she is just a scorned woman. Her only crime she is not as pure angel as Ophelia, okay but still deserves better than Todd. Todd sucks.
As far as true antagonists, Benny from Pretty In Pink. She is not a nice person don't get me wrong, but hello but her boyfriend is so awful,he cheats on her or at least attempts to, and he is by far the worse, she is by far the lesser of two evils, I at least want her to know Steff's true colors, and make her judgement. If she still wants to see him, that is on her.

The shark from Jaws 3 was basically just a trapped animal in a park. Other than eating people and dolphins, there wasn't much else she could have eaten.

It was sad to see that Tania, Mr. Han's secretary, had been killed at the end of "Enter the Dragon". She and Roper would have made a nice couple.

While he wasn't a minor character, I was disappointed that the planned Clubber Lang cameo in Rocky Balboa showing him to be reformed never happened.

Best redemption was Clarence Boddicker somehow surviving getting stabbed in the neck, had a change of heart and decided to leave his life of crime behind, found a little town in Wisconsin where people only live the 70s lifestyle, changed his name to Red Foreman and became a family man

I was going to use Clarence Boddicker because he had the superpower of making bitches leave. Who hasn’t, at some point in their life, needed a bitch or two to leave?
A great man.

It’s a Wonderful Life 2
One year after the original, Mr. Potter is visited on Christmas Eve by three ghosts who tell him to atone for his evil ways or spend the rest of his days as a lonely miser. Mr. Potter wakes up the next morning, goes to George Bailey’s house (where the family is celebrating the holiday), serves them with foreclosure and eviction papers, watches the sheriff throw them all out into the snow, and then goes home to roll around in a big pile of money.

I wouldn’t mind some follow up on Kent in Real Genius. Dude was an kind of an ass but was really just a young man in college struggling to find himself and was obviously pressured and goaded into doing (most of) the bad stuff he did by the actual bad guy professor just taking advantage of him. I feel like the whole ordeal might have matured him a bit and he would gladly be accepted by the other social outcasts if he was remorseful and lightened up a bit.

Sully survived his run in with the lying John Matrix. He retired from crime and went to pilot school. He later was involved in saving many lives at the little incident in the Hudson.

Most likely. I'd bet she would have been directing Han's guards during the riot and probably got cut down during the chaos. A shame, too.
