So what are you opinion on the current state of what I call the Big 3 toyatic anime franchises, Pokemon, Digimon, and Yu Gi Oh
Of course they will be spoilers for English dub only fans.
Well in Pokemon it might be the end of what we have known for ever. Satoshi / Ash might finally be retired from the franchise, we don't know anything what the plans are for the next anime or if they will be a next anime. But two series in the row, the un thinkable has happened for Satoshi / Ash.
Meanwhile the latest Digimon series has moved at a snail paces, it was promised to be more darker than any other Digimon series, and over 50 episodes, the plot has barely moved.
And finally Yu Gi Oh, the franchises that once the darkness and maturity of class systems and racial discrimination in 5D's, or have children being kidnapped like Vrains, the two series has been goofy kidified silliness, well we ever have a series as good as 5Ds ever again. At least Digimon Ghost Game is trying to bring back a little bit of that Tamers nostalgia, as poorly executed as might be.
I am sorry if this whole post is negative, I am enjoying Digimon Ghost Game anime even though there is no story, and I am willing to give Go Rush! a chance, I love the theme song and the main character is likable, it is just not on 5Ds Dark Signers arc level.
So tell me your opinion of these franchises.

Pokemon's on a high right now with Ash winning the world championship. It had a bit of a lull with everyone shitting on the Sun and Moon animation style but Journey's has been highly regarded since
Digimon's interesting, Tri's been a treat, but the anime itself I barely see talked about, and maybe the pacing hasn't helped.
Yugioh only gets people to pay attention in large to the anime when they do things like the big Yugi throwback movie. The new gens barely get discussed as far as I see anywhere, but the card game is still extremely popular and that won't be going away. In terms of the anime though, unless it's the original group or Kaiba or something, there's never a ton of buzz that I ever see.
