If only Flair had stayed retired after 2008. I get the wrestling itch wrestlers have when they miss the good ole' days of being in the ring, but Jesus f***, have some respect for the legacy you've left on the business. It pains me greatly when I see wrestlers tarnishing it when it's abundantly clear it's time to hang up the boots.

Ric Flair will be at the Royal Rumble. Outside the arena, on the street corner with pants around his ankles dancing for nickels.

Guys like Flair are addicted to the fame and adulation that comes with living the gimmick. Especially as a rich playboy type that was always the best wrestler in the game. Has to be hard to leave all of that behind if it’s all that you know for the majority of your life, when everyone is telling you how good that you are and you can get away with a lot of things because you’re the best. Eventually you become the character and there’s no return to who you truly are. Hopefully the guys coming up now and in the future won’t fall into the trap of becoming the gimmick. Hopefully they can see how it negatively effects the lives of guys like Flair, Hogan, or whoever because that’s no way to live.

Now there is only Ric Flair. Wrestling and the associated lifestyle are all he knows and all he has. If someone offered him a billion dollars to go retire and never be heard from again he would turn it down.

This is Flair we're talking about.

Ric Flair will be at the Royal Rumble. Outside the arena, on the street corner with pants around his ankles dancing for nickels. *Ricky Morton appears in GCW doing the same thing* Robert Gibson: Ricky, are you making any money? Ricky Morton: Nah. *points at Ric Flair* that guy’s giving it away for free.

This means there's a very slim chance that the 2023 Royal Rumble match will feature Flair vs Mutoh. The only time Mutoh kneecaps be in better shape then someone else.

If he's there to root on Charlotte fine but I have no interest in seeing this man in a match in 2023. Let's be real here: the next time he steps into the ring again, he will not come out alive. I really mean that.

Don't worry, Flair is only there to push Carshield and to debut his new gimmick...Hockey playing werewolf.

He backtracked on his podcast saying he actually hasn't been invited to the Rumble but he'll be in San Antonio that weekend for an autograph signing.
Other highlights:
He thinks Sami Zayn in the Bloodline is stupid because he's too comedic for them.
He's still bitter about Becky Lynch. "I see someone has started calling themselves the man again and it kills me."
He wants Tony Khan to create a Hall of Fame for non-AEW people. Gee, I wonder who Ric thinks should be the first person inducted into that, as if he hasn't been celebrated and rewarded enough times.

I’m not surprised that he still obsesses over Becky’s success, but that’s a poor take on Sami/Bloodline.

I’m not surprised that he still obsesses over Becky’s success, but that’s a poor take on Sami/Bloodline. So for what it's worth, he didn't use the word stupid, he just said he liked serious Roman and didn't think it needed comedy from Sami. He capped it off by saying "maybe I'm just old school." He also said he was at an autograph signing with Booker T and Booker T was saying how much he loved Sami. Ric acknowledged it wasn't his tastes but also acknowledged that it seems to be working. The other stuff's accurate, and honestly, who knows what Ric is even watching these days, but the Sami/Bloodline comment was more nuanced than how it was presented here. I'm not trying to be a Ric Flair apologist, but I think it's only fair to at least accurately represent what he said.

I get where Ric is coming from in regards to Sami, he's not right but I can understand his perspective. The 4 horseman and Evolution were top factions and neither one of the groups had a comedy guy.

Oh God, he's not gonna be in the actual match is he? Lol. I was at his last match and thought he might die there. No way would they chance it on Raw.

Every time I see Ric Flair I'm amazed that he's YOUNGER than Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone Those guys don't drink a case of wine before lunch everyday.
