I just went hoping for some good offers but everywhere it was just a collection of sales and offers they have sporadically throughout the rest of the year. That and membership offers suddenly being available to everyone. Still, I bought some wool long underwear.

I thought it was universally known that Black Friday deals are not deals at all…

Why's it gotta be a Black Friday?

I thought it was universally known that Black Friday deals are not deals at all… I am a little simple minded at times.

I've done in-store Black Friday shopping exactly twice in my life and... I'm good forever. Online shopping gets the same discounts without giving me a panic attack so I'll stick with that, lol.

There's a few games on the PSN Black Friday sale I might treat myself too, but I think they're going until like, December at least.
Ghost of Tsushima in particular is something I might pick up.

Girl I know picked up a PS5 with coupons for $300. fricken nuts. I don't know which I'm more impressed with, the deal she got or the fact that she found a PS5 in a store....

Went earlier this week and got some household stuff that I needed and got a decent deal on stuff. Also a really cool Bears pullover that was half off at Jcpenney which was a steal. Plus a couple blu rays for the collection. Gonna buy a few games on Xbox today since it's payday that I've been wanting to try out. Average Black Friday.

This year sucked, at least for me. I did get Zelda: Links Awakening ($30), Sonic Frontier ($35), and Skater XL ($10) though.

As someone who plans year round for Black Friday and keeps an eye on deal/leaking advertisments, etc., I can confirm deal-wise this was the weakest Black Friday in at least 17 years.
Even the major retailers who had some pretty good online deals (like Best Buy) marred them with an unexpected unannounced raise in shipping costs.
VinegarSyndrome had some amazing movie deals and UniQlo had only a handful of deals but they were all really good.
But yeah, I don't know if this was a reaction to the manufactured inflation or what, but black friday was really quiet this year.

The scam I have been seeing is in the weeks/months leading up to BF some stores would mark up the price on certain items and when BF comes around they will lower it back to the original price with a “Wow! 15% off” sign or some shit.

Hard for me to get excited about it when I have to work during it.
In retail.

A lot of folks are probably more excited for cyber Monday at this point. The deals of Black Friday without leaving your home. Then there's also the fact that Black Friday is now a week in a lot of places.

Probably will end up signing up for the PS Plus deal they're offering for it but otherwise really not paid any attention at all.

I've never done Black Friday in store (I learned my lesson about willingly putting myself in crowds when I got knocked off my feet and almost stomped out at a rock concert when i was 16 lol) but I do take my chances at online stuff. WWE's wasn't great this year, which was a disappointment, but still bought some fun stuff between it and Amazon. Craft supplies, calendars, a couple DVDs I've wanted. I'll probably be buying the last of my Christmas gifts on Cyber Monday. I did re-subscribe to HBO Max for the next three months for 1.99, which will hold me over through a lot of The Last Of Us season 1.

With my foot and all I've been doing a lot of reading and have started collecting tabletop rpg rule books again. Modiphius had a sale so I got a couple of obscure ones.
