April 3rd 2027 maybe
WWE mindset like "he's gotta hit 2,576 days to beat 1950s wrestler Gurmson Stirmleck's 2,575 day title reign in Boston before it was called Boston so it's fine that the entire roster's credibility is in the negatives because we've made it clear this one dude is the only guy that matters and he's getting big cheers and big merch so it's allllll goooood

I think he loses one of ‘em but retains the Universal title.

Give me Mania against Cody or Rock

It all comes down to if it’s Rock or Cody. If they can get Rock then Roman wins that match and the reign continues. If it’s Roman/Cody then I think Cody wins and it’s the end of the Bloodline’s rule with the Usos also losing to a reconciled Sami and KO followed by Roman taking time off then returning down the line as a face.
Ultimately I’ll go with…yes, he’ll lose the title at Wrestlemania 39. Rock will be too busy again and they’ll decide to end the Bloodline story when it’s at its peak. I hope to God I’m right because if they end it like I hope they do with Sami/KO/Cody all triumphing at Wrestlemania as the Bloodline falls it’ll probably be the most satisfying storyline and payoff for me since Batista/HHH. I’m loving this story right now but I don’t think it has another year in it. This Wrestlemania is the perfect time to drop the titles.

My first instinct is to say it depends on if The Rock is available and wants to wrestle (he could be like the special guest ref for Roman vs Rhodes or something that's a possibility that hasn't been raised).
If he is, then Roman beats him.
If he isn't than Cody beats Roman.
I'm leaning towards the Cody result, so put me down for that.

I was hoping this was the Roman Reigns Wagner thread, where we talk about his inevitable loss to Von Wagner.

I changed the wording on the bet a bit to account for the fact Mania will probably run past midnight.

Against. Trips has a bigger boner for long heel runs than Vince ever did, and I can see them trying to blag this further still.

I’m for it. Surely WWE knows Mania is the time whether it’s Sami, Cody or Rock. WWE needs to end this before Roman ends up as a face otherwise the last 2 plus years would have been for nothing.

My bet is that he holds it until Wrestlemania 40 April 7, 2024.

I see him losing the WWE Title to Cody at WrestleMania. Cody wins the Rumble and is only allowed to challenge for 1 title so picks that one since it has the lineage attached to the one that Dusty never won. If they got The Rock could have Roman work both nights, he beats The Rock and can use the excuse of losing to Cody the next night because he was spent from the night before. As far as the Universal title goes wouldn't shock me if he keeps it long enough to break Hogan's first 4 year title run.

All this for Cody or Sami just doesn't sit right with me.
Nothing against those guys. But they're never gonna be the type of wrestler that changes the industry or attracts new fans with crossover, mainstream appeal like Hogan, Rock, Austin, even Goldberg did.
For me, someone like Bron Breakker or Austin Theory should do it. They have the look, the size and the age to go far and leave the company in a good place going forward.
Right now, I'm just not seeing anyone who could be the next John Cena for example. They have some good "wrestling talent" but nobody you could see in movies, or on talk shows. This is a problem. Ironically enough, Logan Paul could've been that guy. Imagine the headlines if he was WWE Champion.

Given how people generally react to Theory, him being the guy to end Roman’s run would produce some… interesting reactions

Dude, Austin Theory is the same size as Cody, the only thing that Theory has over Cody is that he hasn't gotten a stupid neck tattoo.
On the thread topic, I hope Cody wins at 'mania, but I have a feeling that it's going to be Roman BEATIN' MOAR RECORDZ.

And really, I don't give two shits about "next John Cena" or anything like that. Nobody needs to be the next X, they should be the 1 of 1 X.
