I’m not sure what Bayley does if they blow up Damage Cntrl. Iyo will almost certainly get featured if for no other reason that, like Asuka, she can actually wrestle and make others look better than they are. Dakota will probably be a reliable hand in the singles and a tag teamer. No clue what they do with Bayley from there though. I feel like Bayley is about a year or two away from settling into the Natalya role as the veteran hand. She might get a title shot occasionally, but mostly she’s around to put over the next face or heel on the rise.

I always find it when people say that? Like it seems that once the women hid their mid-30’s, you here “oh now they should be thr gaye keepers who put others over.”
Meanwhile, MOST of the top male stars are that age or older.
I mean Bayley is younger than Becky and only a couple years older than Bianca.

And it’s you guys cracking the shits when it’s either the same boring cadre of talents it ALWAYS is (Natalya, Tamina, Dana Brooke, Carmella) or if it’s that new talent that doesn’t deserve to lose AT ALL because they’re your favourite. I’m sick of this shit. If all this is such a problem, you tell me YOUR solutions.

I mean one solution is to bring in local talent more. Or hell, even talent from the PC. They can get squashed and be fine.

Networks aren’t paying millions of dollars to see half as many stars each week work in short one-sided matches. You could probably do that for a YouTube show, but as AEW and their fans have shown with Dark and Elevation, that kind of show easily gets written off as disposable and we end up back at square one.

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

Not to mention that Bayley is *always* going to be credible going forward because shes won everything short of the Royal Rumble. She can afford to put people over while always being easily thrown in the title picture.

I don't think you can really compare the women with the men when it comes to age for several reasons. One the men's roster is way bigger and as a result they can be more versatile so with the women it's more important to build new young stars quicker just simply because the roster is smaller and things will get stale quicker if you never move away from the old guard. I don't care how talented they are I really don't want to see the 4HW constantly in main events for another five years when we've already had five to seven years of them all on top. Also guys just generally last longer. Rarely do women last into their 40's. There's some exceptions like Asuka or Tamina but most are done by that point although to be fair maybe that's changing with the high volume of women on the roster already in their mid 30's which would've been unheard of in Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Era's.

Becky is basically ancient and should be the one putting people over, in my opinion. Bayley is forever young and still has another twenty years at the top. I'm not biased.

Yeah, thankfully much has changed in that regard. It is somewhat interesting that the current top 4 as a cohort is pretty close in age. Charlotte's 36, Becky and Ronda 35 (born within two days of each other), and Bianca's 33.
