It's absurd that they released him in the first place. Now that The living god, King og kings, name above all names papa H is in charge all is forgiven, all wrongs have been righted He is a benevolent god. He will make William Regal the Warlord of all of WWE answering only to the King of Kings if he will but kneel before him

More likely Regal came into the meeting high as shit and Vince just gave him some dumb old nonsense that had no hope of getting over. lol As a kid I was shocked he made the Survivor Series 1998 tournament. He wasn't even featured on TV much from what I remember and he seemed like such a WCW guy that he would have never been considered. Looking back I guess the tournament was pretty much a joke anyway to get Rock the title. What also surprises me is him not being in the Brawl For All. He was a lower card guy, well known for being a tough guy, not used on TV but then he was in between gimmicks-his debut as the blue blood and the Real Man's Man.

I just assume he said no to the brawl for all.

GOOD GOOD GOOD
He just belongs in WWE, he just looked so out of place in AEW imo. Like when Bret Hart went to WCW. it, just didn’t fit imo. Didn’t help that, imo, he was pretty wasted in AEW as a talent

I dare say had HHH taken charge sooner that Regal would never have been gone from WWE. Samoa Joe is another guy who I believe would still be with WWE right now had the above happened. I've enjoyed the Regal and MJF stuff. Not sure what is left for him to do in WWE. I imagine he'll go back to his old role in WWE, which was basically being a talent scout and evaluator. He's talked about it a few times about how he loved the job. But of course he got let go because Vince, Bruce, and Johnny were all busy just recruiting whatever models they could find, and trying to push the NIL program as the big future of the company (nevermind the fact that while they have found SOME gems like the Creed Brothers, they've found just as many stinkers with people like Nikkita, Lash, and a handful of men who haven't even made it off of Level Up.

Honestly the wrestling landscape is better off if it rebalances to more of the true blue HHH guys heading back to WWE post WWE cutting 1/3rd of the roster and a good chunk ending up in AEW who may be a better fit in a Papa H led creative in WWE

It would make me super happy if this is true. He belongs back by Triple H’s side. It was the one release that made absolutely no sense to me, it was baffling. He’s also a super classy guy who has refused to bash the company since he was released.

Didn’t help that, imo, he was pretty wasted in AEW as a talent I don't know what you were watching, but Regal was amazing in AEW, great commentary, great GREAT promos, and had one of the best ones of his career with MJF a few weeks ago I'm not arguing that Regal wouldn't be used well in WWE again, but no, this was not a Bret in WCW situation, Regal killed it in AEW imo.

Even if people end up somewhere other than where you 'think they should be', just having wrestling calm down to a state where plans can actually be seen through and the actual motion in between them settles down to normal, contract-oriented timings, can only help both companies find their footing. The cuts and inconsistency were bad for WWE and they've been a double-edged sword for AEW in turn. Short-term might remain rough as everything shuffles around, but once it does, it's going to be so much better.

I'm surprised he's 54, I always think of him as way older for some reason.

I'm surprised he's 54, I always think of him as way older for some reason. Arn Anderson syndrome. He looked much older when he was younger, sorta froze for a good few years despite all the substance abuse, and has been around for ages so you equate him to being older, even though he was really just barely in his mid20s when he was a blueblood in WCW

Felt like he got there around July. This is my problem...Like outside of him hitting on Excalibur and making other random proclamations what has he done and how the hell was it almost an entire year? I absolutely can't keep up anymore it seems

I wonder if we could see him manage his son in NXT? Regal debuts as a pissed off voice on the phone like YOU'RE ENROLLED TO CHASE U BECAUSE YOU NEED AN EDUCATION AND BEING HANDS OFF ISN'T WORKING SUNSHINE
