Tony Kahn announced after Brawl Out that all four were stripped of their titles.

Kayfabe wise I'd put this "title" just above the FTW belt. I'm just glad Ricky is being featured regularly in a major Angie.

For those who watch Impact they will notice some similarities with the Moose story when he was self proclaiming the World Champion 2 years ago after finding  the old TNA title.

My main problem right now is that Punk's booking is an absolute mess. His promo last night was narratively complete trash.

He comes out to a face reaction and spends the first part of his promo telling the crowd how happy he is to be there and how he'll always turn out for his fans. And he's being completely genuine with this. There's no MJF-style tongue-in-cheek sarcasm.

The middle of the promo (as well as being a mess) is heel to the point that the once-cheering crowd starts booing him.

Then he finishes by saying he has a guest referee for his rematch with Starks and he's picked notoriously babyface and fair Ricky Steamboat, which is the actions of a babyface again.

I really wish he would just pick a lane and stick to it. This shit is exhausting when Punk does it and it was exhausting when Cena and Cody did it too. Get past Punk's excellent delivery and actually listen to what he's saying and it's a disjointed mess in a way that his first AEW run wasn't.

I will give him that. Even though the pop is great sometimes, not everybody needs to have their music cued up when they’re supposed to be saving somebody. It makes them look like idiots.

Run-ins with music kill the element of surprise.

As Kalmia so astutely put here, the disjointed situation is so frustrating. If he’d come back decisively as a heel, all of this would just be entertaining. Is he a face? A heel? Who knows, but again as Kalmia put it, it was just as frustrating with Cena, as it was with Cody, as it is now.

He hasn’t really been on point, to me, since the MJF feud. By the time of the Mox feud, we were already in tweenerish territory due to his and Moxleys characters. As well as the amateurish calling out of Hangman. I know some liked that “born in Christ hospital” promo but I thought it was trash and felt forced.

Come to think of it, I think Phil’s last great verbal sparring was The Scrum.

With CM Punk’s return to AEW confirmed for the premiere episode of Collision in a couple weeks, this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter brings us this item:

The belief is Punk and Ace Steel will be heavily involved in the creative of the show. At least they will be for Punk’s stuff and the main angles and storyline on the show will revolve around him and obviously he’ll have great input into that.

After asking around, it turns out that TK is booking Collision with as much involvement as Dynamite. He hasn’t stepped aside at all to give another vision a chance. Instead, he’s just deliberately booking Collision in a different way. What he does have is a different inner circle that he’s working with on Saturdays. While Dynamite includes Q.T. Marshall and Sonjay Dutt helping out, TK is leaning on different voices for Collision, including the stars of the series so far, Punk and FTR.

Yeh as I said in a post above that one, TK has the final say still but he is still Punks bitch. In the post yourself showed Punk is one of thr voices in charge
