Taz, and to a lesser extent Schiavone, seemed to barely care when Collision was first being announced with Punk. Schiavone has seemingly come around as he's on Collision most weeks, but Taz still doesn't sound overly enthusiastic about it when it's mentioned on Dynamite.

Okay, so I finally caught up, and two things:

1. CM Punk is not going to get mad at FTR being friends with the Bucks. The only reason being is that FTR being their friends can potentially benefit him. Otherwise both Bald and Hair would have been Colt Cabana'd for it by now.

2. Tony Khan...what the f*** dude? At this point I'm assuming the Elite stayed not just b/c of money, but to protect what they built from CM Punk AND Tony f***ing Khan. They're both man-children, just in different ways.

From his past comment,s it's clear that Punk always wanted to be a Harley Race, and it's also really clear that not only is he a Hulk Hogan, but he's like a 2010 metal-rod-up-his-ass Hulk Hogan whose use of clout isn't even rocketing him to a renewed era of top stardom at the height of the business but just for his own petty nonsense, insecurities, and to get Brian Knobbs a paycheck.

Yep...Way too niche and specific to be something that runs through Punk's head and just comes out on a whim...I highly doubt he is browsing the figure aisle often...Even with the information possibly being second hand...which again is funny in overall context considering his complaints about not talking face to face.

Schiavone said he enjoys the show(JR said it too), I guess because they like Punk old school mentality for Collision and he really wants to make it work.

I believe Punk has been very persistent with wanting to work with the Elite because he knows Collision is going to be eaten alive by College Football

I mean Punk's contradicted himself several times already, in one of the earlier reports, if true, Punk told Nemeth he wanted to de-escalate the situation with The Elite and that's why he got mad at his tweet, and a paragraph later, Ryan is not allowed at shows and he's taking a stupid shot at Hangman Page on the post-show

Real Lars Sullivan energy when he got robbed and then we found an old forum post where he said people who got robbed were pathetic weak beings or some shit...

You can tell this didn't go how Punk wanted because of the Punk camp damage control sessions today lol. He seems to very much want that image of him as a cool leader to be there yet threw some wrenches into his own machinations because he couldn't help it.

Similarly I assume TK's aware of how much he looks like a bootlicker for Punk rn, but I get the sense he doesn't particularly care about changing that view, going for more of a "chants CM PUNK CM PUNK CM PUNK and pumps his arms around while he's by himself" approach.

I wonder if Tony's jhust sitting around going like 'They don't understand the deep friendship and respect that Punk and I have for each other, they don't know that he's a really great guy under it all, but I can make this work by just drawing the lines of my life around his ego and temper and then we'll be besties and he'll finally sit down to play Street Fighter wth me one day instead of being 'too busy'"

Meanwhile what Tony Khan didn't see is Punk laughing his ass off and making fun of him after he walked by.

I can't wait for the CM Punk shoot interview after he leaves AEW.

Idk, Tony hates when people don't like anything he does. He seemed to take just seeing that BOOK THE WOMEN'S DIVISION BETTER sign personally, I don't think he'd like being called a bitch bootlicker by fans over CM Punk. I can see it in the non answer statement he made even lol.

Punk however needs to learn to shut up, and he never does. He thought he was being cute and it wouldn't be anything, but now whether true or not in all of their validity, there are several reports of him keeping talent off Collision or having confrontations with the likes of Nemeth and it ending up keeping him off the shows too

None of this makes Punk look good, and once again he couldn't have picked a better time to be a dick and get everyone mad at him again. At this point he's not really gonna have a choice but to go heel, he's losing the room on anyone who wants to cheer him outside of his diehard fans.
