IDK who to blame on this but if I'm Tony Khan, I'm pissed as hell that this happened tonight. The main talking point isn't going to be how successful the show was, it's going to be another chapter in the saga of CM Punk.

Point #2 is really it. Jack Perry has been in AEW since the very beginning. 4 years without a single known backstage issue. Punk is involved in every single backstage issue. At a certain point, if you’re the common factor in literally all the drama, you might be the problem.

And it would be one thing if he were, like, 1998 Stone Cold levels of carrying the company. But he’s the “face” of a floundering show that rarely even cracks the Top 10 cable programs for its night. There’s just no planet where he’s worth THIS level of headache.

Because here we are, yet again, talking more about a 45 year old man’s fragile little feelings instead of talking about one of the most monumental accomplishments in wrestling history for a company that is less than 5 years old, and a great show, to boot.

Regardless of how it actually played out, having both of them leave the venue after their matches was a good call. If Tony Khan actually wants to be a fair boss, you can't have an altercation like that where only one guy gets removed.

Still a little leery about the fact that both of the Elite matches happened to end with them putting over the Collision guys, especially since one of the participants is STILL A POTENTIAL FELON WTF TONY!?

I have a hard time believing Punk would try and brawl with Perry just before his match to start a PPV. Like I can see it happening but not him starting it. A verbal.thing yeah, totally but not anything physical. Then again I didn't believe the Brawl Out stuff at first either.

I would agree, but out of morbid curiosity, I rewatched Punk’s entrance before I shut down my stream, and the look on his face was definitely “I am extremely agitated about something.” At the time, I thought he was just in his feelings that he wasn’t getting a hero’s welcome, but an altercation just before he made it through the curtain also tracks.
