I seriously don't get it with him. AEW seemingly is all he ever dreamed about- a big league company that's more or less the anti-wwe where he could be THE GUY. Dude just does not have all the leadership skills necessary to be a 'leader'. He wants to be a 'leader' in the sense that everyone listens to him and he can talk to people any old way, he probably has some good ideas for wrestling because Collision isn't actually a bad show and if he's in charge of how it looks and feels then more power to him. And I don't think Perry or Hangman's workers right comment were all totally innocent. But when it comes to confrontation or issues with others, Punk can't do the mature thing and be like 'hey man what you said wasn't cool, what's going on, let's talk about this and work together'. Cause that's what THE GUY does, that's what a leader does, that's what the dude who's 10-20 years older than the dude's he's beefing with would do to set an example. But he's so caught up in macho bullshit tough guy posturing and snitching to the dirt sheets to get his 'uwu the meanie buckaroos didn't get me a limo ' to do any of that.

I genuinely love reDRagon era Fish and KOR. They were so good for each other as evil hipsters - such a genuinely timely gimmick for 2013/2014 and they both grew so much as promos and characters. Fish helped KOR shake off all the bad Davey Richards habits and had someone to regularly playoff so he could grow as a promo.
The Fish Tank was a great segment in ROH, and I really like the majority of his TV title reign.
He was a breath of fresh air in 2012 ROH, was amazing in reDRagon, and was an absolutely necessary part of Undisputed Era. Given the wonders he did for KOR, I think he'd still have some quality gems to drop on a new up-and-coming talent or talents still finding themselves. Make him the heel leader or heel enforcer second-in-command of a faction.
Also, I thought he had amazing chemistry with Jay Briscoe both in tag matches and singles.

Yeah, it's not like he's useless or something, he's really not. He's just got the unfortunate distinction of having A. hit his plateau, and B. being associated with acts that happen to be three world champions. It's going to make anyone look like the weak link, like if someone said "Shibata is the least of the Three Musketeers of him, Tanahashi, and Nakamura." It's true, but also painting someone to be a failure when they are not one.

Had a few days to let this simmer and see how i feel about Punk once again making a dick of himself and honestly i'm more bemused than anything. Another week goes by and more Punk problems just keep on popping up.
For what it's worth it hasn't taken anything away from the show for me. I still enjoyed the show.
I will say that Jack Perry would have been better keeping his mouth shut. I'm sure we've all worked in situations where certain people have said or made a big deal of certain things and we've bitten our lips and gotten on with things. I certainly have had times where i could've said something but that would just escalate the situation like Perry did. I think maybe it may be a maturity thing. Sometimes you just need to let stuff go.
But
CM Punk tries to act like the locker room leader and you have to lead by example. Calling out Hangman after the show in the days of social media where videos get posted all the time was unprofessional. Leaking the Perry/Glass story and throwing him under the bus was also unprofessional. You do shit like that and what does it say to younger guys like Perry? The veteran did this and it's okay so i'm going to handle this in public too. Both guys deserve their share of the blame for how this has gone down.
And on another note - Punk surely isn't getting paid peanuts. Just get a damn taxi to go straight to your hotel.

I just watched Big Daddy V vs. CM Punk from 2007 and this might be the funniest match in human history. Big Daddy V just beats the f***ing shit out of him for 5 minutes, spinkicks him out of the ring, then knocks dude in to the announce desk and wins by countout while Punk cries on the floor like a wounded sea creature. Isn't that the 2008 match? The 2007 one (No Mercy 2007 I believe) had the baffling Matt Striker interference finish. Both laughably weird. EDIT: Wait, I misread that. There's a 2008 match where Punk has a countout victory that he over the top celebrates and I believe it's sadly V's last WWE match. It's also so funny and weird. This is the trilogy that deserves a special edition DVD.

This is armchair speculation and I know nothing IDK why I feel the need to preface with that but it was interesting that it was crystal clear Punk got suspended tonight as there was no mention of him whatsoever on the show and no recaps of him on Sunday, but he was still in the Collision ads so he wasn't like insta completely wiped so he's definitely suspended but it's up in the air if he'll be back or not (right now I'm leaning/hoping to them canning this dude or him finally quitting just to get him the f*** away from this thing he apparently hates so much).
Also in spite of things everyone seemed super chill tonight, the announcers were more flustered when they announced Punk was coming back than the aftermath of him getting into another shitshow lol.

Nothing would have happened, if Perry would've kept his mouth shut. Jack probably should of if Punk was going to take someone not thinking that he was the hottest bitch in the entire place this badly.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but Viscera’s post-Ministry heel theme (the one he had in No Mercy) was a f***ing banger.

I had them too they were called "watching a Viscera match" This just reminds me of the Smackdown game storyline mode where Candice Michelle uses a magic wand to turn your character into a woman and then Viscera spends a couple weeks trying to have sex with you
