I don’t buy Punk lunging in anger at TK.
That chump would have torn both ACLs and twisted an ankle if he tried to lunge.

The whole thing with Miz getting the main event at WrestleMania that always makes me scratch my head is that Miz was booked to look like a total goober third wheel in his own match. Would Punk have actually wanted that? Nope, and he would have been complaining about it ever since.

The reporting was slightly off, Punk didn't lunge at Khan, he Lugered at TK; specifically screaming at him about how the latter's t-shirts were too tight and the door's locked too.

I think we’re passed that point now. If the outcome of this investigation is not the termination of Punk’s contract then Tony really has no spine. Tony firing Punk would be a huge mistake! You're right. But also not. Cause everything hinges on Punk's neuroses going forward. Punk could (and should) be their top guy, the face of the revolution, if he had his head on straight and were still the same guy he was in his first 8 months or so. If I were Khan I wouldn't want to kill all of that potential by showing him the door. But if he isn't gonna meet any of that potential and is just going to disrupt the company and possibly drive off other people, losing out on THEIR potential and what they have to give... what can you do at that point? It's a no-win scenario IMO.

If TK can secure Mercedes and Edge and they can manage to move the needle like Punk(or more than him) in several business aspects then that makes Punk expendable.

TK: "But what if I patched things up CM Punk and gave him everything he wanted for a third time? Then I would have Edge, Mercedes, AND my favorite CM Punk~!"

That's not what the site says currently The weekly has 3 Better than You Baybay on the top 10, and then top 16 you have 3 Punk Shirts Unless the Mystery Bag are all Punk Shirts. There is literally some number fudging there. Maybe its only US sales you guys can check yourself www.prowrestlingtees.com/topsellers/week

2024: Punk beats up Tony for real and it'll still like "well money money t-shirt sales business money" and he sticks around and gets a fifth new show an his twelfth even real-er world championship.

TK: "But what if I patched things up CM Punk and gave him everything he wanted for a third time? Then I would have Edge, Mercedes, AND my favorite CM Punk~!" I'm literally not sure what else you could possibly give Punk at this point because it's obvious to basically everybody but Punk's hangers-on and TK that present-day Punk is an inherently miserable person whose only happiness these days seems to be from trying to straight up sabotage other wrestlers' careers. He's had multiple shows at this point essentially created specifically for him, he's had his self-insert world championship, he's been able to somehow salvage Ace Steel's job... Short of giving him the book for both Dynamite and Rampage or giving him hire/fire ability, I'm not sure what else you could even give him as a kiss-and-make-up at this point.

I get what you're saying, but speaking of Edge, IMO AEW really really doesn't need Edge. Like at all. The face of the company should be MJF, not a revolving door of WWE guys.

I think the only way it's a situation where nothing can fully be done is if WB is really sold on Punk being a major presence and wants him there ahead of the new rights deal being signed. That said, if Edge and Mercedes come in I have to think WB would be fine with them as more than ample replacements. I get that Punk moves a whole lot of merch, but that strikes me as weighing short term gains vs. long term risks.

There currently isn't a single CM Punk item in ShopAEW's top 10 unless you count the general "All In" event poster with his match listed as his merch.
Current top 10 individual items for the week:
1. AEW Live Event Mystery Grab Bag Shirt 2. All In 2018 Blu-Ray Pre-order 3. MJF/Adam Cole Better Than You Bay-Bay T-Shirt 4. AEW All In Live! From Wembley Stadium T-Shirt 5. All In 2018 DVD Pre-order 6. Bullet Club Gold T-Shirt 7. AEW All In London 2023 Event Poster 8. MJF Kangaroo Kick T-Shirt 9. AEW All In London 2023 Stadium Jersey Pre-order 10. Young Bucks Love Maui T-shirt (charity shirt with 100% of the royalties going to the Hawaii Community Foundation - Maui Strong Fund)
Either that's based off outdated data or it comes off as a bit of maneuvering the numbers to say what you want them to say. AEW has put out a lot of CM Punk merch relative to other wrestlers, so he might be the top category based off sheer quantity of product available.

Just have Dennis Rodman dress as CM Punk and Call him CM Punk and act like nothing has changed and he's always been CM Punk
