Badly need somebody to make a Britta Perry “I can excuse assaulting co-workers, but I draw the line at joining WWE”

As for doomposting; Punks gone. This thread logically should be locked but nope, It's gonna whiz past 1000+ all so people can continue to kick AEW while it's down. Punk was absolutely insufferable on TV for the past two months, AEW is a better place with him gone and people are happy about that. Happy, but also disappointed at what could've been. It's a bittersweet moment for us all, but we'll move on. AEW will too and will be better off for it in the long run.

In real life I hate petty dramas amongst adults but with the Punk saga I'm like "somebody @ me when Punk drops his statement"

If Punk and Roman headline a WM, I might start watching WWE just so I can stop watching in protest again. No matter what Punk does in the future, AEW will still be winning because they kicked him out of the company. He could go to WWE and be the perfect employee and AEW would still be winning because Punk was never going to be that in AEW.
Punk's future (whatever that is) doesn't negate the mess of the last year. AEW were right to can him. The victory lap will forever belong to AEW because they eliminated a trouble maker that was just going to keep on causing trouble.

To be clear, I'm not talking about the fans, but rather everyone within WWE. I can't imagine many of the talent would give him a warm welcome. Reigns, Rollins and AJ Styles have gone on record for disliking Punk. Plus there's a lot of guys like Balor and Zayn and Owens who are very close friends with the Bucks, I'm sure they wouldn't be thrilled at the idea of the guy who belittled and then physically assaulted them joining the company. There are strong rumours Cody doesn't like Punk either. It's basically a situation where across both major companies something like 80 or 90% of top guys don't like him or would be wary of dealing with him. I remember reading that Kevin Owens doesnt get on with Punk due to past problems they had in ROH, also last year after Punk's press conference meltdown he took at dig at him on twitter. As for Cody I remember on an episode of BTE (pretty sure it was summer 2019) the bucks were talking about how they would love Punk to join AEW and Cody's face said it all when Punks name was mentioned.......it looked like he was thinking "I dont want that"

I love CM Punk, but I will lose all respect for him if he goes back to WWE. That’s the final straw? Him going back to WWE ten years after he left and things have changed immensely since he had his issues with them? That’s the one??? My friend, I’m from Chicago, CM Punk sucked me back into the WWE in 2010 and he was my favorite wrestler until he left. I have the original Best in the World shirt. I was at the First Dance when he returned. I have two of the I Was There return shirts, one sealed in its original packaging. Respect and admiration for CM Punk left me about a year ago when I saw him act like a unprofessional jackass in front of his dumbstruck boss. The fight afterwards only reinforced that. The leaking of fake stories and the comments to the press continued to reinforce it. I still watched Collision every week and against my better judgement, enjoyed Punk’s segments. He was still damn good at what he did. However, Punk attacking someone for a comment he HIMSELF would make, and then apparently also threatening his boss to the point where fanboy Tony Khan, who by all accounts is the biggest Punk Stan of us all, was in fear for his life and finally fired his Chosen One, should be absolutely enough for anyone to finally lose respect for this man child. May I suggest Bryan Danielson as your new favorite? He became mine when Punk left WWE and hasn’t disappointed me since.

RVD also immediately comes to mind. Jeff Hardy is another one. and there's more but I really don't feel like digging at the moment. RVD got in trouble four years after Triple H buried him, by which time WWE had already decided to make RVD their champion, so Triple H doesn't get any credit from me for that one. Jeff I'll give you, but Edge certainly didn't have any qualms about putting him over. you're missing my point. Triple H didnt put over RVD during the reign of terror because he believed RVD's excessive pot use would embarrass the company. he caught a LOT of flack for not putting over RVD. then when WWE DID give RVD the ball a few years later, he almost immediately proved Trips right by driving high as a kite.

The way you engage with this company is really concerning. it's not healthy to be this doomposter invested in something. I really hope you can take a step back at some point or maybe find something that doesn't seem so misery inducing as AEW does. Doesn't matter at this point. I have to accept I cannot escape the things I hate. Check NFK to do pre-season football? Nope WWE licensed belts Watch sports on ESPN? Nope WWE all over the place f*** when I played Fortnite with my young nephew, you guessed it WWE skins It has permeated everything. I don't use Twitter, I barely use this forum because most people have blocked me yet it's going to be f***ing front-page news when Punk faces Roman at WM and every single solitary person takes a victory lap around AEW. Was I so wrong that I wanted someone else besides Vince and friends to win, f***ing once? Just once. No, instead I get backstage bullshit over and over and over because I can't have nice things ever. As for doomposting; Punks gone. This thread logically should be locked but nope, It's gonna whiz past 1000+ all so people can continue to kick AEW while it's down. Nobody's kicking AEW while it's down in this case though, virtually everyone is kicking Punk, repeatedly, in the head and bollocks, and there's nobody really in this thread thinking this is in any way bad for the company, totally different to Brawl Out. There's no link with WWE in any of this, but if they want to hire a guy who's just been fired for yet another violent outburst that's their funeral, AEW was absolutely fine without Punk before he joined, they were just fine while he was gone, they sold tens of thousands of seats at Wembley without him and they'll be fine now he's gone for good.

The dude who wrote the Sports Illustrated article really said "There is no shortage of possibilities for Punk. He could defend the AEW title that he spray painted with his trademark X in other promotions." That's idiotic.

Yeah, no one in this thread is laughing at AEW for kicking a cancerous asshole out of their locker room.
Hell most of the people in this thread were hyped when he showed up, but his continued actions made people sour on him... and the fact that up until now AEW basically really didn't do anything to curb it and hell actually rewarded him with his own show that he ruled with his little fiefdom turned a lot of people myself included off of the product.
Now that he's gone? I'll probably actually start watching again.
Also if something as stupid as wrestling actually like makes you legitimately upset, you may want to seek professional help, and I don't mean that as a joke or insult.

He's had his moments after his WWE departure like the falling out with Colt and whatnot, but I still gave him the benefit of the doubt and welcomed him when he came back. But the seeds of doubt were planted when he went off-script in calling out Adam Page. I was still a fan of his, but didn't like how unprofessional he went about it. After the scrum though, that was it. Everything that the critics have called him out on had been exposed for us all to see. It was at that moment I was done with Punk.

In my mind Punk did the Go To Sleep taunt at Tony and started slapping his knee and TK, the avid gamer he is, knew he was about to eat a Charged Finisher Dying at the thought of Punk doing his stupid jumping in place, twirling of the wrists taunt and tK’s just like “Oh No” Meltzer and everyone saying “there’s stuff ppl don’t know” just makes me think what else this nodgecomb got up to lol
