One of the crazy things about this that's easy to forget is that if the multi millionaire took a taxi rather than wondering around train stations looking for help like he's Paddington Bear there's a good chance he wouldn't have reacted to Jack Perry the way he did and would still be employed. You could make a sliding doors like movie about that descion. I do wonder if that's something where Punk intentionally inconvenienced himself because he actively seeks out grievances. It just seems to fit his pattern of behavior.

I love CM Punk, but I will lose all respect for him if he goes back to WWE. Genuine question with no disrespect intended, why would a WWE return for Punk be the last straw for your fandom? I will say this. The thought of CM Punk running back to WWE with his tail between his legs like a scolded dog makes me laugh my ass off.

Man, talk about waste but like. The second AEW run really did accomplish nothing but t-shirt sales, didn't it? Dude showed up, had his big return show to make his fans happy, and then launched into some really sloppy nonsense character work, spray painted an X onto a belt and called it a new belt only he had, and because of the timeline of PPVs, Forbidden Door was already locked in before Punk came back, All In had already megasold so him in the undercard there probably didn't move heaps of tickets anyway. Then the one PPV he was going to headline mercifully had a f***ed up build that meant him getting suspended didn't even hurt the build or make them have to scramble for anything more than "get one of the best pro wrestlers alive to take his place" and now he doesn't even figure into a main event in the company's tentpole show in his home town. He lasted two and a half months, and in that time he managed to perfectly straddle the space between very concept of AEW PPVs, ensuring they couldn't even sell a show with his face on it.
It makes that everyone went through this second run at all seem like an absolute f***ing joke.

My ideal Punk WWE return - Triple H is doing a promo in the ring to make some huge announcement or other. Cult of Personality hits, Punk walks out. He asks if he can wear Triple H's blazer again, is told no, then sadly walks away and is never seen again.

its like people don’t remember how often and for how long wwe was taking shots at punk after he quit
you really think he’d open himself up to that but times a thousand? do you think he’s some sort of reckless idiot or something who can’t read the room?
nevermind he’ll sign tomorrow

We’ve gone from muffins to Nando’s, kicking in doors to knocking over monitors, sharing bank accounts to hanging on toy aisle pegs, and bite marks to glass lacerations. This has been the greatest year in the history of our sport. What's Nando’s?

What's Nando’s? chicken place that is fairly good but before punk, was known as a meme more than anything in the world of English sports banter to give a comparison, him buying everyone nandos after probably doing enough backstage to get arrested is like if he did this at wrestlemania in Philadelphia and bought everyone the grimace shake from mcdonalds

The idea that the dirtsheets wanted to get rid of Punk is absolutely ridiculous when you think about it. This Punk stuff has been giving them engagement, clicks, and subscriptions for months now, why would they want that to end?

The way you engage with this company is really concerning. it's not healthy to be this doomposter invested in something. I really hope you can take a step back at some point or maybe find something that doesn't seem so misery inducing as AEW does. Doesn't matter at this point. I have to accept I cannot escape the things I hate. Check NFK to do pre-season football? Nope WWE licensed belts Watch sports on ESPN? Nope WWE all over the place f*** when I played Fortnite with my young nephew, you guessed it WWE skins It has permeated everything. I don't use Twitter, I barely use this forum because most people have blocked me yet it's going to be f***ing front-page news when Punk faces Roman at WM and every single solitary person takes a victory lap around AEW. Was I so wrong that I wanted someone else besides Vince and friends to win, f***ing once? Just once. No, instead I get backstage bullshit over and over and over because I can't have nice things ever. As for doomposting; Punks gone. This thread logically should be locked but nope, It's gonna whiz past 1000+ all so people can continue to kick AEW while it's down.
Man, I'm gonna level with you.
I've left boards because of absolutely horrid, toxic people on it that do the things you're sort of alluding to.
I've yet to experience that here. Yes, it took me a day to figure out who the concern trolls and sea lions are, but I've read the rules and they don't break them, they're just kind of assholes.
That's just life, though. And it applies to things well beyond a wrestling board.
AEW is fine. They got renewed by Warner. They JUST had their biggest show ever, and if Punk mattered at all in the grand scheme of things, Collision's ratings would have been better and he wouldn't have been curtain jerking in London.
On a deeper level, though, this monomaniacal obsession with WWE being a dragon that must be slain at all costs is... concerning. Yes, Vince McMahon is a truly terrible human being, but if you think WWE is the empire of evil, wait until you dig into the Petrol industry and the Raytheon's, Boeing's, and Blackrock's of the world.
I know the words from a stranger mean exactly nothing, but your pain comes across in every one of these posts. I don't want you to feel that pain. Maybe just try walking away from "the grid" for a while? Read a book. Go camping, if you can and it isn't obscenely hot wherever you are. Revitalize yourself away from the world of wrestling and media bullshit.
