Umm... this might be an all time collapse by Gonzaga. UCLA leads by 1 with 12 seconds left.

Ugh, couldn't ask for a worse possession to end for UCLA. Great, fun 2nd half tho.

What an ending. Damn close to sinking that shot to tie.

I just want to take a moment to talk about that legendary performance by Nowell last night. Dude gets an ankle injury and proceeds to still have the game of his life. Sets a record with 19 assists with one of them being that completely ridiculous alley-oop from the damn logo to take the lead in the final minute... which was then followed up with the game ending steal with the cherry on top of one last wacky layup.
That single game raised his draft status.

That single game raised his draft status. And you didn't even mention the one-legged bank three right after he came back in from rolling his ankle, hobbling on one foot to get back on D. Reminded me of Isiah Thomas against the Lakers. The alley oop was the gutsiest call I've seen in forever. Crazy that Coach Cal referred to him as "that little kid", given he's probably the Most Outstanding Player to this point.

I'm really looking forward to the Miami/Houston and Xavier/Texas games tonight. I also took Miami +8. Creighton and Princeton should be kinda close as well, but with lower caliber basketball.

Bama goes down and Houston is on the ropes. The most upset-laden tourney I've ever seen in my lifetime. My Miami bet lookin good tho.

There has never been an Elite 8 without a 1 seed, until this year
Alabama now has the worst all time record in Sweet 16 history, 1-9. The second worst? Tennessee.

Still a few too many high seeds for my taste, but the tournament has my attention. For now.

One thing the NCAA has on the NBA is the impact of a good coach. Cal or Self or someone like that is under the gun to develop guys in under a year. Whereas someone like Jim Larranaga or Brian Dutcher has guys for 3-4 years, and can coach guys on ball movement and defense. Even when they aren't going deep in tourneys, they're still tough outs.

KSU goes down. Amazing tournament for FAU. Wonder which program poaches their coach lol
Edit: Also, posted this accidentally in the football thread 10 minutes ago:
"I put some of that Miami win money on $10 on Miami and SDSU to win the tourney. Miami was at +1200 and SDSU at +950. Not a bad lottery ticket in this crapshoot.
FAU hanging around and taking the lead on K State. This looks like a close finish."
Boy was it a close finish. Sucks that last possession was so, so bad. Nothing like the ball going through the air as the buzzer goes off with the game on the line.
