Such a weird show how Meltzer and Alvarez must make their living covering WWE and laughs at how horrible WWE is now. I find WWE a lot more enjoyable as do well over twice the audience than AEW although I watch both. Guess I should move to the New part of Japan that must be where the real rasslin's at. I don't listen to Meltzer and Alvarez much, but most people here who do say it's really Alvarez who's done most of the WWE bashing and Meltzer just pretty much accepts it for what it is.

I don't listen to either of them just see reports they post. I know a lot of that show was twisting around words but seemed like they were both against current-WWE. I don't get why bashing Stephanie had to get involved I don't think she's done anything bad since being in charge. The media prey's on negativity tho.

I need a smoke after watching this... all these idiots calling Vince McMahon a loser? Get the F outta here. Pretty sure you are banned so you won't see this, but Vince is a rapist. He has multiple accusations against him. And we have Rita Chatterson on record saying he sexually asssaulted her. And she is suing him. And its pretty likely Vince has done other heinous things that haven't been unearthed yet. That's all ignoring every other god awful thing Vince has done. Just come to grips with the fact that the person you seem to idolize is in fact, a completely terrible person with absolutely no value to society these days. He adds nothing to anything he is a part of.

Honestly Dave for all his issues is actually pretty fair to the company most of the time. Go back and read his 80s Observer editions and the guy is just vicious to a lot of the product (some of likely rooted in dislike about how popular it was getting in the latter half) but now? He does point out its merits and and is willing to give credit for strong matches or promos when he sees them. He's not going nuts with the star ratings but he's not declaring anything the worst segments ever either.

They went from 97 with the screw job back to 95 which is a really weird way to tell this story And they also made it seem like the Pillman gun incident was part of the Attitude era.

So from the sounds of it, this can be skipped.

Even "bashing" itself is still kind of an overstated way to put what Alvarez actually does on the radio show. Like when WWE puts on a bad segment or angle, yeah, he responds to it. If he thinks a show sucks he's gonna say it sucks. But when he thinks a show or a match is good he will also definitely say it's good. Neither guy really 'bashes' WWE and the people who go on about how they make their living covering WWE but then hate WWE and that's wrong and Vince should beat them up or whatever come off as real weird for it.

This sounds so bad I almost want to check it out.
I feel like we’ll never get an honest-to-good Vince doc. Sometimes you can’t make a documentary about a rich, power-hungry scumbag and that’s okay!

It’s just repackaged DSOTR clips. So disappointing. This is what I meant, in part, when I said I didn't trust Vice to be the ones to handle a Vince McMahon documentary with the right amount of care. You could tell just from the trailer online that it was going to be nothing more than a clip show haphazardly stitched together to look like new material. Also, from watching the most recent episodes of "Dark Side of the Ring," it was patently obvious that there was a clear axe to grind with Vince McMahon. He's no saint by any stretch of the imagination, but in the series - particularly in the later second season and third season - he was inserted into situations he wasn't involved in or made out to be an antagonist in stories that had little or nothing to do with him. Sure, he casts a shadow over pretty much the whole wrestling world from the moment he started gobbling up the territories in the '80s, but that doesn't mean he is the signature villain in every pro wrestling story. As I said, someone with the chops could put together an amazing Vince McMahon documentary that tells the whole tale, worms and all. Maybe it's Netflix, maybe it's Apple, maybe it's HBOMax. But it certainly wasn't going to be Vice.

We need to get the dude that wrote the Jesse the Body story movie. Who could forget the time that Raven won the title in the Montreal Screwjob and Jesse saw red and murdered Vince McMahon backstage!?

Yeah, I had that problem with some o the Dark Side of the Ring later episodes... suddenly Vince was popping up in places he had nothing to do with and they tried to make him the bad guy... and as I've said multiple times. Dude's done enough bad shit on his own, you don't need to invent more... in fact inventing more only makes people wonder how much of the ACTUAL shit happened.

Yeah… this is awful. Objectively Vince is scum. But this just seems to be a hit piece of recycled footage from people who subjectively think Vince is scum. Seems desperate. We don’t need you to tell us anything that we already know. You know what I mean? I’d like to see a more objective take and stories from people who didn’t dislike him.

Vince McMahon is in the business of putting smiles on faces. If by "putting smiles on faces" you mean "pushing himself and his tallywacker on women without cobsent," then yes.

I liked all the pre steroid trials stories about his early life, and the Rita chatter ton stuff is still new to me, so it’s not totally pointless rewatch. Also, I didn’t know he pulled that tanning salon stuff in California too
