Eh, Zelda being better than Mario is debatable? It might hit higher highs but I kind of have more confidence on paper in a new Mario game than a new Zelda one and I'd a lot rather dive into playing Mario World or 64 on a whim than LttP or OoT despite how much I love OoT and think LttP is a'ight.
