I say it was BCC vs JAS in the Blood And Guts match!

I was there live so a little biased but I'd go with Anarchy in the Arena. One of the most unique things I've ever seen and so perfectly executed on every level.

Gonna be honest. I’ve missed out a ton from not ordering the PPV’s for a minute.
From what I’ve seen..The Acclaimed Vs SWIOG and Danielson Vs Hangman II would probably be my top picks. But the match quality for AEW is ridiculous. A lot of recent honorable mentions like The Elite vs. United Empire and Jon Moxley vs.Takeshita

Anarchy in the Arena was so unbelievably stupid that it was amazing. And I’ll always have the image of a bloody Eddie Kingston walking out bloody and beaten, unscrewing the cap of a petrol container as he walks to the ring.

CM Punk vs. MJF at Revolution is my vote. It was a master class of in-ring storytelling with the pure brutality only enhancing the story the match told.

Difficult this year. I'd say these 3: Mox Vs Yuta Oc Vs Ospreay Punk Vs MJF
Shame MJF and Punk both ruined the aftermath, and that Yuta took a backseat for a few months and lost a lot of momentum.
Takeshita would make up much of my top 10 but weirdly he's had even better matches elsewhere, Claudio probably the best in aew.

Page Vs Danielson seems so long ago! Iirc that's the second one? If so it's the same issue as Takeshita where the previous one overshadowed it.
Also find it really hard to judge the big trios matches and Sting/Darby crazy brawls.

I think I'll go with Swerve in Our Glory vs. Acclaimed, because that was just a magical moment all the way through. The "wrong finish but they couldn't have known that until halfway through the match" aspect gives it a weird mystique, too.
Hangman/Danielson is also one I intend to come back to, although I liked the first match better.

Anarchy In The Arena, and the Bucks/Lucha Bros in Ontario are my Top 2. I'm a bit biased though since I saw both in person.

Do we count ROH 2.0 in this? If so, the three FTR/Briscoes matches, esp. the first one and Dog Collar Match are my pick.

I don't watch PPVs anymore so it's just Dynamite and Rampage and any specials I watched, but certainly my favorite this year was Adam Page vs Takeshita.

Page vs Danielson II was a fantastic match, too.

I feel like there's like a half dozen matches involving some combination of Lee, Swerve, Starks, and Hobbs that'd fit in here, too.

Going to go with Jericho vs Action Andretti as the best free TV match, for the best PPV match the CM Punk vs MJF Dog Collar match.

I don't know if it's the best, but the match I enjoyed the most was Anarchy in the Arena.
