I want to know there’s one regular guy in the ten Doink battle Royal? I hope he comes out like that and gets announced as Doink Jones or something. Apparently if I am reading other sites comments about this, the regular looking guy in that Doink Battle Royal is Ian Rotten Yes. That is Ian Rotten, the Doink of the promoting world.

I'll go one further. How many times have you seen wrestlers perform AT a carnival? You just know either there is going to be a clown gimmick or the booker guy is just like, "Nah too obvious."

Thread winner. They've wrestled for WWF, WCW, ECW, TNA, ROH, and they themselves are wrestling promoters. Fun fact: Violent J started as a pro wrestler even before ICP started, and his first indie show was also the debuts of RVD and Sabu.

I know they worked on indies with RVD and Sabu. But Sabu was wrestling prior to Van Dam. Unless my history is totally wrong and they debuted at the same time. AND the same time as Violent J? I'd ask for the source on all that.
The source is Violent J's autobiography titled Behind The Paint. And I've yet to hear it disputed by RVD or Sabu.

A tangential aside: I wasn’t really watching WWF when Austin came aboard and didn’t know about the Ringmaster gimmick until I read about it around the time Stone Cold was peaking. So when I first saw it, I thought, “Seriously? They tried to give him a circus gimmick??” Austin’s Ringmaster wasn’t that, of course. But given that he came in on the back end of the New Gen era, would it have shocked anyone if Vince had tried it?

Allegedly Vince had been tooling around with the Ringmaster for awhile, with it being a traditional circus Ringmaster portrayed by Jimmy "Jam" Garvin.

In the American Southeast scene, there's The Carnies, Nick Iggy and Kerry Awful. Tripp Cassidy was also briefly a member, but he got an accusation made against him during Speaking Out, and I don't think he's been in wrestling since. I remember when CZw spent a few months hyping up getting the Carrie's but the Oi4k boys buried them and that was that

Is Reggie still in WWE? He was a trapeze artist before becoming a wrestler, or whatever he does.

The source is Violent J's autobiography titled Behind The Paint. And I've yet to hear it disputed by RVD or Sabu. I just checked Sabu's shoot interview again to make sure I wasn't out of my mind (the whole thing is on YT). He was wrestling in Michigan and Ontario in 1985. RVD didn't debut until 1990. Maybe they all "debuted" in the same promotion that day or something, though they all began wrestling at different times. I'll take your word for it. I honestly don't care enough to either disagree or do research trying to figure out the truth. Violent J may have very well lied in his book I guess. I don't know.
