John Carradine feels like the patron saint of this. Did so many indie/low-budget/development hell movies that his performances kept appearing in them 5-9 years after his death! And he always looked 100 years old in each movie.

On the voice acting front, I've heard the likes of Billy West, Rob Paulsen, & Jim Cummings be in less than impressive work, but to their credit they're always very solid regardless of the writing and/or animation issues.

Some of these don't really feel fair, some of it is typecasting (McDowell), some of it is needing the money due to debt (Cage) or some are just outright not going to likely get work elsewhere (Caradine). So I can't really blame any of them. In Cage's case, he did say he's going to be more selective now that he's out of debt, and he has made some pretty good movies in the last few years.
My answer has to go to Christopher Walken though. For a guy who was once considered one of the best actors of his generation, he has not only leaned into his eccentricities, he's basically allowed his legacy to become just that, and starred in many many bad movies along the way. I remember reading something where he basically said he'll take any gig as long as his schedule allows for it, but that doesn't mean he should lower himself to trite like Balls of Fury. There is no dignity in that.
Actually, as I was writing this...I changed my answer. It's Eugene Levy. The guy has basically accepted any and every opportunity to appear in some of the worst garbage that has been produced over the last 25 years. If they're making a cheap sleazy dime store B movie with the American Pie label slapped on it, he'll come by to collect a paycheck to play Jim's Dad. It's the definition of digging around at the bottom of a septic tank with your bare hands to find a nickel.

James. God Damn. Hong.
Dude has so many acting credits it is like his agent goes, “Hey I know you’re busy but another role pitch came in.” And then James looks at his watch and goes, “Yeah sure, I got 5 minutes, let’s do it.”

As one of those sad pityful individuals who frequently watches Lifetime movies, there seems to be a small group of women that frequently appear in many of them. I always watch if Laurie Fortier, or Emmanuelle Vaugier or Brittany Underwood are in them. Yes, I know I have no life.

Some great ones already mentioned here.
I'll add Ernest Borgnine. Very distinctive look and voice, over 200 credits, fair amount of poor-to-middling stuff in there but also some legit gems.

George Kennedy always gave a solid performance, no matter what kind of junk film or show he was in. He was the one saving grace of the last few seasons of Dallas.

Pretty sure Nic Cage would be in my movie for $50 and a lunch at this point.

Sam Jackson has mentioned he rarely if ever turns down a script John Carradine feels like the patron saint of this. Did so many indie/low-budget/development hell movies that his performances kept appearing in them 5-9 years after his death! my dad used to have a carradine scale for old movies... on how good a film was based on if it contained him... some of the other parts were was Carradine a scientist... did he appear in more than one scene... did he appear with other characters... etc. Cameron Mitchell was another guy who would show up in anything

Is it bad that people like their work so much and do it as much as they can? No. It can be sad though when you have a Nic Cage situation where he has to work constantly and do crap because he cant stop spending and pay his taxes.

I'm tempted to say Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill but how much is it him wanting to do as much as he has or is it down to people wanting to say they met/worked with him? I know a lot of his work is voice acting (and he's good at disguising his voice in roles.) but it's like he's never stopped

Is it bad that people like they're work so much and do it as much as they can? My understanding is that this thread isn't about making fun of these people. While it sucks for the actors that they have to "slum it" for money, they're often the highlight of an otherwise dire production. With that in mind, I'm gonna say Bela Lugosi. I've never been disappointed with his performance in a movie, even if the movie around him was not up to snuff.

I wandered out to the living room today to find Mr. Max quietly watching a later Steven Seagal movie. Before I changed the channel, I saw someone that made me think.
Just how many budget scifi/horror movies and other assorted random crap has Lance Henriksen been in over the years?
